Stella Hotel

Lovely Stella Hotel. Clean good linen and towels changed very regularly. Cleaner everyday.(.Not sunday) Plus very happy and helpful.staff. Please just ask if you have a problem. Nelly who is always around is Brill at understanding anything. Go enjoy you won't be disappointed.

I'll start with the positives, it's conveniently located, it's clean albeit ants. the dated ppl moan Abt is the furniture, the family rooms are tiled, floor throughout and all bathroom, has basic kitchen equipment, the grounds are good and so much more could be made of this hotel if there was just a bit of love and care. negatives.....arriving late was very unhappy to be waiting an hr for a room because the air conditioning in so many rooms is broken !! due to mobility issues was promised no more than 1 flight of stairs but put on top floor , no help with cases and no air conditioning working. told I'd be moved following day but no so another wasted day as was told to go back to reception mid day . after move still broken air-conditioning and all they say but doors open, no door never been opened !! so one unit blowing hot one cold, in a family room quite clearly advertising 2 units in heat of over 35 you expect for them to be working, I asked for it and I asked for 2 so why knowing they have booked out room was it broken !! . no hot water for first night. ants coming out of wall sockets which guests commented on last year and nothing has been done. I sprayed ant powder all over them and issue resolved, surely their job to do !!. held passports all week, which I'm sure shouldn't happen ! fridge with icebox not fridge freezer won't even keep ice cream frozen. so at no time could we close any doors so no privacy and with an adult child with autism, having some private space is important. I think this could be an amazing gem if it got new maintenance and workers/owners. last day staff watched person in ambulance receiving CPR rather than console the family who were bereft on the wall, in the heat, no here's water, or emotional support they literally stood gawping in the ambulance it was so unprofessional and unnecessary

From start to finish this holiday has been amazing. I was so apprehensive reading some of the reviews before travelling however our stay couldn’t have been more different. The staff are exceptional, especially the bar man Kiriakos who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay! He is a CREDIT to the hotel! Our room 620 was lovely, amazing view and cleaned every day! We asked for late check out with was a god sent, the man on reception was super helpful also! With everywhere in Greece you do have to pay extra for the air con which was €80 for the week, as well as the room tax and optional extra for the safe- air con definitely needed this time of year! Pool area was clean and relaxing with plenty of sun beds for everyone. The hotel is in an ideal location with a short walk to bars/restaurants (which are all lovely) and the beach which is beautiful! We are already booking back up for next year to stay again. This has been truly one of the best holidays we’ve had! Thank you to all the staff at stella, we will be back.

Another fabulous stay at Stella. It was my first time travelling solo, but the environment around the pool and in the bar area meant I felt very welcome and safe. The staff are very hard working and friendly, the rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and the location right in the middle of the town is perfect. Would definitely recommend!

I think its worth noting i have been to pefkos 20+ times and love the resort and stopped here 3 times previously. The time was awful, to the point we were happy to be going home. We booked a one bed apartment. The beds are very dated compared to the three over hotels in its range (Matina, Pefkos Beach and Pefki Island). The mattresses were solid the pillows were either non existent or solid. The kids shared a bed with ants with no help from the hotel staff. We were left without toilet roll. We found some of the male staff rude towards my wife and kids, the guys on the bars were lovely, non of the cleaners were greek, and the cleaning was poor. The pool wasn't cleaned like the other hotels you could not see the floor most day and on days (2 times out of 12) the chemicals burnt your eyes. The bar was good on prices very reasonable. The overall hotel experience for £2k through jet2holidays was very poor. These rooms are more two star. The €160 aircon units were both broken and didn’t operate as should. Jet2holidays and pefkos as a resort were brilliant.

Good hotel. Upon arrival, Staff at reception very kind and helpful. Passport is taken until tourist tax is paid the next day. Given the keys to my room which was 802. Short walk from the reception, but steep steps to block 6&8 to bare this in mind. Room was clean and tidy. Fresh bedding and towels. Soap and shampoo provided in the bathroom. Balcony had no view, which I wasn’t too bothered about as I didn’t spend much time in the room. However, my balcony was overrun by ants. Cleaners tried their best to solve this problem, I can imagine this is due to the heat as it was over 38’C. Room does have aircon but you do have to pay extra. No tv in the room. Double bed, comfy and pillows were soft and plump. Breakfast- Breakfast is smaller than most hotels, however plenty to choose from such as bacon, eggs, sausages, toast with Jam, honey, lurpack. Fresh orange juice which comes from local orange trees. Breakfast is on until 10.30am. Staff are lovely. Couldn’t do enough for me. Geovanni ( I believe this was his name) is absolutely fantastic. Told me all about the history of the Greek islands. Receptionist was lovely. Bar- Bar is fully stocked with local beers and spirits. Fridge also has water, Pepsi, Dr Pepper all that good stuff priced at around €0.50-€2.50. Happy hour between 4&8. Plenty cocktails to choose from too! Snack menu- lots of choice, Gyros, toasties, chips etc. Reasonable price and tasty. Pool- Pool open from 8am-8pm. Plenty sun loungers and English music playing round the pool. Floaties aloud. Location is fab. Shops, restaurants and bars within 1 minute walk from the hotel. Beach 5 minute walk down the hill. Check out is 11am but can use the pool etc until pick up time. Also have a shower room you can use to freshen up. Overall fantastic experience for my first solo trip abroad, and cannot wait to be back! Thankyou Stella for a fabulous holiday.
