I desperately want to give this hotel a 5 star review for a number of reasons. We upgraded to a sea room which was the best decision we made, the view and balcony were incredible, the room was comfortable and spacious and the maids were brilliant, always left our room immaculate each day. Never had to reserve sunbeds, pool and facilities were perfect and plentiful. Personal highlights include the rooftop bar (table service), the tennis courts (free of charge) and of course the pool bar, of which the staff were absolutely brilliant (as they were in the entire hotel really). We paid for the all inclusive package which was worth it, drinks were good quality and food was of a decent standard, plenty of choice throughout the hotel. Personal highlight was the Greek restaurant by the pool for lunch, amazing! In the all inclusive package, two a la carte meals can be had in a choice of the three a la carte restaurants. The Mexican restaurant was the best meal of the trip, would thoroughly recommend. However, the experience following dining in the Italian restaurant let our stay down. We went to the Italian around 7:30, we were the only one's there and only one other couple turned up by the time we left. Service was brilliant and my food was very good, but my girlfriend ended up with food poisoning that night unfortunately. I wonder if a lack of custom meant that food wasn't prepared fresh and that hygiene measures weren't followed. We politely told the hotel the next day just to make them aware, but the woman that we spoke to dismissed our suggestion entirely that it was their fault and didn't offer much in the way of sympathy. It's a shame as otherwise, the review would've been perfect. I'd recommend this hotel to couples, families or anyone really as there's a real mix of people which gives the hotel a fantastic atmosphere. If we were back in Rhodes, I'd definitely stay here again. However, should you get food poisoning from a 5 star hotel? Absolutely not.
