Villaggio Baia d'Ercole

We were staying here on October 2021 with my family and the experience was honestly the most awful vacay experience we've ever had. Food was not good and the location was very bad, but this one incident made us very uncomfortable. Last day of our vacay I saw from the pool, that the door of our room was open. I walked to the room to see what's going on, and there was a old man holding my wallet. He was "repairing" toilet even tho it wasn't broken. He freaked out and shouted to italian that the wallet was on the floor. (It wasn't it was in my purse) We tried to sort this out with the front desk, but they were super weird about the whole incident. Also, talked very badly about us in italian because they didn't know my mom actually understands italian. Later that evening this old couple came to us, and ask if we were the ones who had someone random going thru our belongings. They told us there was 100e missing from their room. So something very shady was clearly going on with this place. Did not feel safe at all. Had to search this hotel again after all this years, and saw another review (italian) about same kinda experience that we had, so decided to let y'all know.

Amazing beachfront location, well kept beach and crystal clear sea. There are 2 nice and clean swimming pool. They also have a shuttle that brings you to Tropea. All the staff is really friendly, kind and professional. The restaurant is lovely with delicious local food, always fresh and the service is impeccable. Francesco, the restaurant chef made us feel at home all the time, taking care of every detail. Ideal village for families and couples, a place where you can really switch off and relax! Villaggio sul mare, spiaggia ben curata e mare cristallino. Dotato di 2 piscine molto pulite. Hanno anche un bus che ti porta a tropea. Il personale é molto cordiale e professionale, dalla reception, agli animatori, alla ristorazione. Il ristorante serve ottimo cibo locale, prodotti di qualita' e sempre freschi e il servizio é impeccabile. Francesco, lo chef ci ha fatto sentire a casa, curando ogni dettaglio. Ideale per vacanze in famiglia o per vivera una vacanza in totale relax!

Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen. Die Hauptpluspunkte sind der herrliche Strand, das hervorragende Essen und das großartige Personal. Vom Restaurant blickt man direkt auf das Meer und allein der Ausblick zum Frühstück ist Gold wert. Beim Abendessen gibt es eine reichhaltige Auswahl an köstlich schmeckenden und auch gesunden Vorspeisen in warm und kalt. Stets gibt es ein Pastagericht und auch ein Gericht mit Fisch oder Fleisch beim Abendbuffet sowie ein Dessert sowie Obst zur Auswahl. Mittags kann man Pizza oder Salat bestellen. Das Hotel verfügt über zwei sehr schöne Pools. Die gesamte Anlage des Hotels ist sehr wohlgefällig gestaltet und die Gartenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt. Es ist sogar ein kleiner Fitnessbereich mit Geräten vorhanden, dieser ist allerdings tatsächlich nur recht klein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und engagiert, einige Mitarbeiter sprechen hervorragend Deutsch, bei den anderen ist es in Ordnung. Es ist kostenloses WLAN vorhanden, allerdings manchmal etwas unzuverlässig und die Passworteingabe ist häufig vonnöten. In der sehr ansprechenden Bungalowanlage ist auch ein Amphitheater für Abendunterhaltung vorhanden. Wir waren zur Nachsaison da, da gab es im Amphitheater kein Programm oder ich habe es nicht mitbekommen. Bei uns gab es abends Livemusik von einem Alleinunterhalter, der gesungen hat. Beim Frühstück gab es immer sehr lange Schlangen vor den Kaffeemaschinen. Als Tipp für die Teetrinker empfehle ich, sich heißes Wasser im Krug von den Kellnern bringen zu lassen, dann muß man nicht für jede Tasse anstehen. Die Bettdecken sind wie leider häufig in Italien recht unpraktisch, d.h. es gibt nur ein Laken und darüber die eigentliche Decke. Bei mir hat sich das stets verheddert, ob das bei den Italienern ausbleibt, ist mir unklar… Die Zimmer sind teilweise bereits renoviert, teilweise nicht. Unseres war noch nicht renoviert. Da gab es etwas wenig Ablagefläche im Bad, die Dusche war recht klein und etwas rumpelig. Das müsste in den anderen Zimmern allerdings besser sein.
