Bingham Riverhouse

This stay was fantastic the team were so attentive during our stay, from reception, housekeeping and all of the bar and restaurant staff. The design of the hotel is great and the setting along the river is perfect. Have stayed in a few places in Richmond…..this was the best

Lovely afternoon tea at an excellent price (all items tasted great & were freshly made) exemplary service which was polite & welcoming together with a delightful location on the River front - We had a wonderful time & look forward to visiting again in the future

The bed is incredibly comfortable and luxurious, perfect amount of pillows with a variation of pillow types The bath is incredible - perfect for two and so deep - a beautiful object to look at and experience to enjoy for relaxation at the end of the day The room is spacious and the hotel so quiet - very restful with stunning views of the garden and river Loved everything about my stay - very friendly staff, gorgeous bar and restaurant

We were going to the theatre in Richmond and Bingham's looked for a suitable place to spend the night after the play. The cost of the stay was to be £210. The first inkling we got that this place was out to make money was that many items in the room had cards saying that 'If you take this with you we will charge your bill £....'. We were not interested in having a corkscrew at £60 or a container of shampoo at £20! The room was adequate, over-looking the main road, although the lighting was inflexible. We got to sleep in what was a very confortable bed. In the morning, as usual in any hotel, I got up to make a cup of tea for my wife and myself. Although there was tea and lots of sugar, there was no milk or biscuits af any type. I phoned the reception and requested these missing items. We had delivered a jug of milk and three very small croissants. We later realised that this delivery cost us £4.50 plus a service charge. Going down to breakfast we discovered that this was not a part of our £210 payment and we had to pay extra. Although the full fry was tasty it would have been nice to get some butter to have with our toast (I am not sure if that would have generated an extra charge!). We did not bother to ask as, by this stage, we were becoming weary of the place and wanted to leave as soon as possible. In summary, we are not ones to complain to the staff who are quite often not to blame for management decisions. However, we left disappointed and with a feeling that we had been ripped-off by what we would have expected to be a pleasent hotel. Wrong.

Dear Bingham Team, You made the trip so special for us! Thank you so much for being accommodating, friendly and super attentive during our short stay. We were most sad about having to leave. A big shout out to Karl who was fantastic! We will come back for sure.

As we were traveling into Heathrow and out of Gatwick the following day, we decided to spend the night in the charming town of Richmond-Upon-Thames and selected Bingham Riverhouse based on their website. In this case, I’d have to say the photos did not provide the most representation of the property. While the accommodations provided for a comfortable nights sleep, the room and inn in general were a bit more worn looking than anticipated. I was expecting quaint; it was serviceable, although the breakfast area was nice and food quite good. The walk to both Richmond Park and into town were both quite manageable. Al in all, an adequate overnight stay.
