If you participate in one of the horse or other shows that are held on the property it is an Ok place to stay, but if not, find something better. We stayed in an apartment and it was okayish, but not really nice and there was no cleaning of the rooms for the week we were there. It's a bit unbelievable, but the only Internet you can get on this hotel is a single PC tucked away somewhere. There is no WIFI and the phone data connection is nearly non-existent.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It should be rated a 3 star. For these reasons: no modern ammenities in the room (central heating, flat screen tv, satellite tv...) no bathrobes or slippers limited bathroom toiletries (no shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion) small, thin towels wifi only in the lobby (which you have to pay for) the very few items that are in the minibar are not replaced daily a large double bed is just 2 single beds pushed together The positives are: the staff is friendly and helpful the restaurant serving traditional food (schnitzel, spaeztle...) is good use of public computer with internet access convenient location if one is competing in the equestrian events or for a conference other than the carpet, hotel is clean and well lit

Very little info on this hotel exists for English speakers, & reviews are raw at best, yet rooms book fast. I was scrambling less than 6 weeks before our trip to Schwandorf for a place for 4 adults 1 child (teenager) that was cheap, had 2 close or adjoining rooms, a bathroom with a shower. Booking dot YEAH found us an apartment for $575.00USD. I also put in bids for cheaper listings that were declined because we were booking from America. I literally had no other choice, & right up to the last "cancel for free" moment (the day before check in) I checked for better alternatives. Weighing pros and cons, I decided to stick with what I found in WHGM despite the unknowns and the cons others had noted in sporadic, years old reviews. You should know that I am a traveler who appreciates dive bars, hole-in-the-wall eateries, roadside attractions, and finding those real experiences only locals know about. I'm not looking to rack up points or stay somewhere that is exactly like a place I can find at home. So if you need chain hotel amenities, stop reading NOW. You aren't going to like WHGM. If you're still reading, that means you're still interested. So let me address the trade-offs. WIFI -NONE. There's a tiny closet with a PC that connects to the internet. SOLUTION: Verizon has an international plan for $10 a day, activate it the DAY YOU TRAVEL. You may have to divine around your room for a signal, but we got 4G LTE without leaving the room just fine. SMOKING: Despite printing gory photos of the horrors the human body suffers on cigarette boxes, smoking in Europe seems more likely than we're used to in America. If you vape be sure to stock up on juice/coils before you travel and be mindful to turn off your mods in your carry-on. Most mods are not lithium, but sneaking a vape isn't worth it. The WHGM lobby smells smoky, there are also ashtrays in the rooms, but ours didn't smell at all. ROOMS: I reserved 2 rooms for 4 adults, 1 teenager. Bookongdotcom glitched & dropped the teenager (young kids stay free so long as they don't need an additional bed). That cost us 20usd a night and included extra towels that were set up immediately. Our room was set up like this: Large front room had a coat bar and 3 doors to 3 rooms. Left door #1: The main room with two beds (2 twin foam mats side-by-side per "bed"). This is the best room for an extra bed. Just off the family table is a separate kitchen with its own door, Cutlery, dishes, glasses, shot glasses, a passive drip coffee set, and silverware for 4, plus some pots and pans provided, Any soaps, condiments, salt/pepper NOT provided. The carpet may seem dated and worn, but there aren't bare patches or weird smells. A Netto grocery is minutes away in Rieden. The TV is old, but there are English channels. Middle room #2: Bathroom with bidet and shower, No free soaps, etc. There's water meters for hot/cold usage. Don't freak out, it's for longer term rentals. Launder your towels unless you want to

This hotel still does not deserve 4 stars, and should be rated 3 stars. Nothing has changed in the past few years, except that the restaurant is not as good as it was before. (Dry, tough schnitzel and dishes lacking presentation) You definitely need a reason to stay here, as a previous TA reviewer commented.

Хорошее умиротворённое место, небольшое уютное, вдали от оживлённых трасс.Прекрасный ресторан.Понравился обзорный вид на стриженное поле. Обстановка домашняя, 4,5 однозначно оценка.Персонал приветливый.Какой-то особый уют.Очень размеренная жизнь отеля. Прикольная сувенирная витрина.Сочетание цветов отделки понравилось.Отдохнул душой. Wir buchten ein Gesamtpaket 30.12.- 01.01.2020. Die Reise an sich war keine Fehlentscheidung, das Hotel aber doch. In dieser Bewertung möchte ich nur auf das Hotel ein gehen. Die zwei Sterne für das Zimmer, das Bad und die Sauberkeit. Tag 1 • Das Hotelerlebnis (:-/) begann schon beim Eintreffen vor Ort. Ein (Manager) begrüßte uns und teilte uns mit, dass wir um 19:00 Uhr zum Abendessen in den Speisesaal rechts vom Eingang erwartet werden. (Das Hotel ist etwas größer und somit ist eine solche Info recht hilfreich). Leider war der Speisesaal auf der linken Seite im hinteren Bereich zu finden, was einige Verwirrung verursachte. • Zum Öffnen der Zimmertür wurden Karten ausgegeben. Leider hatten beide Karten nicht funktioniert und waren möglicherweise nicht oder falsch kodiert, was von der Rezeption zügig erledigt wurde. • Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, mit einem großzügigen Badezimmer/WC und sehr sauber. • Der Zimmersafe ließ sich nicht versperren und meldete lediglich die Fehlermeldung „5er“ Eine Reklamation an der Rezeption brachte lediglich die Information ich solle doch noch mal die Anleitung lesen. • Nachdem das Abendessen erst für 19:00 Uhr angesagt war, wollten wir die Bar aufsuchen, welche laut Info-Heft, auf dem Zimmer, ab 18:00 Uhr geöffnet sein sollte. Nachdem wir an der verschlossenen Bar standen, wurde uns nur gesagt, heute nicht. Am nächsten Tag war die Bar dann geöffnet. • Zum Abendessen gab es ausschließlich Suppe, Rindfleisch, Soße, Kloß und Blaukraut. Ein Salat war Fehlanzeige, zur Suppe gab es kein Brot oder Baguette. Kein Nachtisch. • Nachdem die meisten ihre Teller gefüllt hatten, wurde das Essen knapp, was am nächsten Tag zum Runn der hungrigen auf das Buffet führte. • Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tag 2 • Nach dem Aufstehen hatte ich den Safe wieder reklamiert und ein Fehlerbild (Foto) gezeigt. Es wurde nochmal auf die Bedienungsanleitung verwiesen und dann aber zugesichert, dass sich jemand darum kümmert. • Das Frühstück, Aufback-Semmel, war ansonsten akzeptabel, aber kein Highlight. • Der Buffetsaal ist viel zu klein für die Anzahl der Gäste • Die Theke (Wurst/Käse) hat gerade mal Platz für zwei schlankere Personen, was natürlich zu Stau führte. • Unser Bett wurde von mir zurück geschlagen zum Lüften, aber an diesem Tag vom Personal nicht weiter angerührt. (Also kein Zimmerservice). • Das Bad wurde jedoch geputzt und mit frischen Handtüchern versehen. • Bei der Rückkehr am Abend ins Hotel war der Safe immer noch nicht funktionsfähig. Ich habe es dann auf gegeben. • Der Sektempfang war etwas irritierend. Die Gläser waren nur minimal gefüllt (wie wir später erfahren hatten, war der Sekt überraschenderweise ausgegangen) • Das Bedien-Personal war wieder sehr freundlich • Das Silvester-Buffet war diesmal sehr umfangreich an Auswahl und Menge. Da es am Vorabend recht knapp bemessen war, waren allerdings die Gäste übervorsichtig und drängte nach der Eröffnung an das Buffet, denn jeder wo
