The best thing about this hotel is the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. They have been superb. The hotel is well positioned near public transport making it easy to get to all major attractions. The breakfast was plentiful and again, the service impeccable. I would recommend it as an excellent value hotel.

Convenient location, close to tram, free parking place, delicious breakfast
The Rija VEF Hotel is a great hotel to go during your holidays if you can't spend too much. The breakfast is delicious and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is well located. However, the staff isn't very friendly and the shower is too small.

Very simple hotel, far from the city centre. There was no air conditioner in the room and the room was very hot as the sun was warming it up. Breakfast was very modest. A lot of parking spaces and free parking.

Very negative attitude and even through ***********. We made reservation becouse kids should attend olimpiad and made cancellation 1 day in advance due to that kid get sick. We are 3 kids family still they did not care and took all the money. First Hotel informed that they never received the money. *********** said that it is up to hotel how to settle the things. Do not use such place if you do not want loose your money though they write that calcellation is for free.

Located far from the historic center of Riga. The breakfast was acceptable, but the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. The only eating options were at a shopping center about a 20-minute walk away down some very seedy streets. You have to use a pedestrian underpass to cross the road. We were advised by a local to avoid this at night. The hotel itself is in bad repair. There’s lots of bare ductwork in the lobby. I thought that perhaps this was on purpose (industrial chic), but it’s so shabby and unsightly that the only conclusion you can come to is that they ran out of money to replace the hanging ceiling, so just left it. On the top floor is a lounge all decked out in 70s velour. It would have been fun had someone cleaned it since then. We were there during a heatwave. When we turned on the a/c nothing came out. We mentioned this to the receptionist, who just shrugged her shoulders. I got the distinct impression she didn’t want to be there either.

Ich habe in diesem Hotel eine Nacht übernachtet. Eine Nacht zu viel, denn ich frage mich, wie dieses Hotel zu seinen 3 Sternen kommt: Leider konnte sämtliche Gäste nur ausschließlich kalt duschen, aber dafür war in der Dusche deutlicher Schimmel sichtbar. Schimmel war auch am Fensterrahmen zu bewundern. Die gesamte Einrichtung des Zimmers war deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, verschlissen und verdreckt. Drei Sterne sind wirklich ein Witz, da nützt auch der günstige Preis nichts mehr. DANKE, aber nie wieder in dieses verdreckte Hotel.
