Dome Hotel

Couldn't fault this hotel. Small (I think 15 rooms or so), efficient and friendly service, probably the best hotel breakfast you'll ever eat. Hot food to order, and a varied and impressive cold selection. Good coffee (to order). Had a facial in the spa and the therapist was excellent. Very comfortable bedrooms and quiet. A smorgasbord of toiletries provided, mini bar, water, coffee machine. Located on a quiet little road on the edge of the Old Town, 2 mins walk to Dome Square. Lots of quality restaurants within 5 mins walk.

We enjoyed a family pre Christmas trip to Riga in December and stayed in The Dome hotel . It is a beautiful boutique hotel situated in the old town. The room was very comfortable and welcoming, with tea and coffee facilities with a fully stocked mini bar and a TV. It was serviced each day, bed made and supply of fresh towels, beverages and drinking water replenished. There were 16 in our group ages ranging from 5 years to 70. I personally stayed in the room at the top , where I discovered a roof terrace outside my door. Between us we had 9 rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. You can sit down and order a cooked breakfast or simply opt for buffet style which consists of fruit, yogurt, pastries, breads etc. We booked the dining room for dinner one evening where we enjoyed a 7 course tasting menu. The food was excellent and they catered for the 2 children and for the vegetarians and vegans in our group. There was a Christmas market within 5 minute walk and many restaurants, bars and shops nearby. All within walking distance.

We booked top room. Disappointing. Not all what is presented. Has seen better days. Room was dark. I got a glass splinter in my foot in our room. I told front desk they needed to thoroughly clean/vacuum the room before we went out. We came back and I got another glass splinter in my foot! I complained more vigorously and it emerges someone had a rager in this room and broke a bunch of stuff. I told the hotel to make the room safe. Really poor. Breakfast was lovely. Front desk staff nice. Sauna nice. I am not sure I would stay in Old Town next trip to Riga.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Dome Hotel in Riga! We were in Riga to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it an occasion to remember. Upon our arrival, they surprised us with treats and a bottle of fizz in the room to celebrate – such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to mark must-visit spots in Riga on a map and even recommending some fantastic cocktail bars. Their local knowledge and personal attention made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight – delicious, freshly made dishes served with care. On the day of our city tour, they were kind enough to prepare coffees to go, ensuring we started our day on the right foot. It’s little things like this that make a big difference. The service, ambiance, and overall experience were fantastic, and we’re already looking forward to staying at the Dome Hotel again in the future. If you’re heading to Riga, this is the place to be – it’s a gem! Thank you to the wonderful team for making our trip so special.

Situated in the middle of Riga old town, this charming little hotel offers phantastic service, very friendly staff, beautiful high rooms and delicious food - the breakfast buffet is really exquisite. We also had dinner in the Michelin recommended restaurant and it was very very delicious.

One of the loveliest hotels in which we've ever stayed-- just perfect in every way. Just a few minutes' walk to everything, but down a quiet side street. The hotel itself is beautiful down to the last detail; the young staff highly capable, understated and welcoming; the breakfasts plentiful, fresh and delicious. We loved Riga, but I'd return to this hotel just to stay at the hotel.
