I prepaid for this hotel but was asked to pay again at checkout. I showed the disinterested receptionist a copy of my pre payment invoice(in french) . She assured me I wouldn’t be charged again for the room. I was. I emailed, phoned , contacted Accor hotels customer care all to no avail. I submitted all the evidence but was consistently told I hadn’t overpaid. The manager had no time to talk to me and after 3 weeks I contacted my credit card company, who agreed to pursue the claim on my behalf. This seemed to galvanise the Ibis into action, they eventually agreed a refund after 4 weeks, it took ages to arrive. No apology , nothing. This could have been avoided from day 1 . So no more Accor hotels for me, a loyal customer for years counted for nothing. The poorest customer care experience by miles! Beware!
