Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

We love this place. The entire staff was super nice. We can’t complain about it! We went to celebrate a birthday, we were 45 people and everything went exceptionally smoothly. We did few activities, but the only one that we didn’t like was the hayride and dinner. The dinner was okay but the Hayride was so boring, I think they should do something different to made that activity more enjoyable. Other than that We will recommend WG River Ranch 100%

We spent a day at River Ranch and were treated like VIPs. Every staff member was remarkably professional, helpful, and kind. We started our day with a stroll around the property to acquaint ourselves with our surroundings before heading to our scheduled horseback ride. This is a beautiful ride and not to be missed. The horses seem extremely well cared for, and they rotate them throughout the day to ensure their well-being. The ride through the oak hammock is magical, and you'll see retired saddles on limbs throughout. After our ride, we strolled through the petting park and spoke with the staff about the animals they care for. This space was well tended to, and the animals appeared very content in their environments. After the petting park, we strolled some more before deciding where to have lunch (they have 3 options), and the food was outstanding. After lunch, we nestled into a lounge area beneath some oak trees and chatted away before heading to our skeet shooting reservation. The walk is very short from the registration building, but we were offered a ride by members of the concierge team, and we took them up on it just so we could experience that too. The instruction we received at the firing range was spot-on, and we all shared a lot of laughter...and hits! When lightning struck, the event had to end, but they were gracious to offer us another date and time...which means, we'll be going back very, very soon. River Ranch is a gem of a destination. You can go for the day or, you can stay overnight. If you haven't been to River Ranch, I would highly recommend it. This was my second time there, and it was even better than the first time. We will definitely be going back!

We recently stayed at the Westgate River Ranch, in River Ranch, Florida, in an efficiency room, and although our air conditioning unit decided to take a vacation of its own, the staff here truly turned things around. I texted the front desk about the issue, and within minutes, Chris, the maintenance worker, was at our door. He quickly assessed the situation and informed us that he needed to replace the entire unit. In no time at all, Chris returned with Augustine, the Air Conditioning guy, and together they swapped out the unit. Their speed and efficiency were impressive – our room was cooled down again in what felt like no time at all! Both Chris and Augustine were super knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. They were also very thoughtful and understanding about our discomfort in the heat. The swiftness and quality of their service were better than what I’ve experienced at five-star hotels, and all this happened on a weekend! If you’re ever at the Westgate River Ranch and run into a problem, rest assured you’re in good hands. Thanks, Chris and Augustine, for turning a potential disaster into a story of excellent service!

Had a great time, lots of fun. Went horseback riding, did some line dancing at the saloon and had a drink. Rodeo was a ball. Petting farm and swamp buggy ride were fun as well. Good food, great outdoor activities and wide open spaces. Definitely need to visit this place.

We went for the day mainly for the Rodeo. There are lots of boat things to do however everything's costs of course. Didn't see any horse riding which i would have liked. But saw the horses in the fields.. as a day visitor I would have liked a few more choices of what to do and would have liked to see a few more riders riding about for a good cowboy experience..I beleive if you stay there are a lot more experiences. Daytime line dances would have been fun.. the Rodeo was fabulous if not a bit staged but for my 1st one I loved it and happy it started off with Toby Keith Red white and Blue.

I have been to the River Ranch three times before- the last time being about 6 years ago and had great experiences. I have talked this place up countless times. I was really excited to take my grandkids there for the first time. While we had a good time - it was a bit of a disappointment based on previous times. We arrived on a Thursday and a lot of things were closed or closed very early. The only restaurant/ bar closed at 8. On Friday we took the kids to the adventure park. Many things were broken or not operating. It was rather underwhelming. I then tried to make a reservation for the hayride dinner and was told it was only for owners. When I went on line there were no restrictions. I booked the hayride. After booking it- there were no directions on where to meet the wagon. After asking around , I finally found the spot. There was only one other couple there for the hayride ( I wonder why- lol). The hayride was ok - but when we got back, no one knew anything about the dinner part. They ended up just telling us to go to the bbq restaurant and get dinner. Not exactly what we were expecting for the price. We did receive random texts with activities- but they all seemed last minute and there was nowhere you could see what was coming up and plan accordingly. We stayed at the lodge. The rooms were decent size but dated and had a musty smell. We payed close to $400 a night for the rooms which seemed excessive considering the condition of the room and the fact that all activities are ala carte. All in all we had a pretty good time- but feel they need to work on a more seamless experience.

Love this place! For families, business & couples. They have a little of everything. The horseback riding was really relaxing and the horses are very well taken care of and trained! Will definitely go back. Everybody is polite and the rooms are clean.

Westgate ranch was a great experience specially if you go with family. When me and my family went there we had so much fun because of all the activities that you can do. And the room was very comfortable because it had enough space for everyone and a little kitchen where my mom could cook. I really suggest this place because when you go there you will never get bored and the rodeo was very fun too, they had people do so many amazing tricks and after going there I had a bunch of pictures and videos that we took as a family. I would say that the only bad thing is the insects that you will see but other than that everything is good. Hopefully I can go there again because I had so much fun and I hope you get to enjoy it too.

First time at westgate and first time RV-ing. We rented an nexus Triumph and 6 of us came with a dog. We arrived at 11pm and the security helped us to get our spot. I wished the reception checkin guy has told me that the everything closes on sunday early. The RV dump site could get busy but guests here are pros. The spot can be kind of close to neighbors. We picked a spot that was close to the bath house and dumpsite. We had two water hookups and didnt have neigjbors. It was a full moon night and we enjoyed our weekend. There are lots of activoties here.
