The Cottage Treehouses

My son and I had a double birthday celebration and enjoyed a great stay in the unique and beautiful Sunrise Treehouse last week. The treehouse was secluded and tranquil, yet was close to everything. The wineries, the restaurants, the bakery, the candy store, the museum, the gift shops, the riverfront park, and the Historic Downtown Hermann were just a few minutes away. We felt we were able to enjoy "civilization", nature, and wellness all at the same time. It truly was a perfect vacation for us. Keely, the host, was thoughtful and cheerful. On the day that I called to make a reservation, I could feel her positive energy and passion over the telephone. She answered all my long questions with total patience and warmth. I truly appreciate her for making our trip extra special!

It was a dream to stay in a tree house and this one was perfect! So much natural light with 360 degrees windows that also allowed for an amazing breeze. The bed was super comfy and had a mattress pad heater you could choose to use (I’m now going to buy one - it was amazing). The checkin info was in the form of an email AND video which was an amazing touch. I felt super welcome and comfortable. The small space is used thoughtfully and had all the amenities we needed for our overnight stay.

This was a surprise Chirstmas gift for my wife. We had to reschedule because of a winter storm that occurred a few days before our originally planned date, but The Cottage worked with us to ensure we would have a wonderful experience! The property is on top of a hill offering a great panoramic view of the Missouri River valley and the town of Hermann. We stayed in the Moonlight house, which accommodates several people. The feeling of privacy and comfort is noticeable as soon as you enter, and the views are spectacular! The property is located a short drive from downtown Hermann, probably less than 5 minutes. The communication with the owners was excellent, and they checked in multiple times to ensure we had what we needed. This is not your “standard” bed and breakfast-these are treehouse properties, and as such, they are much more cozy and space is a premium….but they were certainly constructed and built to make the most of the space provided. if you are looking for a cozy, quiet and refreshing place, this is it!
