Botleigh Villa

We only stayed for one night in Rochester, but I'm so glad we chose the Botleigh Villa! The hosts were so welcome and our room had a wonderful view of the river and beyond. The bed was really comfortable, and the amenities were perfect with fresh milk for tea and coffee if we wanted. The breakfast was really delicious and we were quite sad to leave in the morning as it had been such a lovely stay. The location is perfect for walking into the main shopping area of Rochester, or local pubs and food places in either Rochester or Borstal. Parking is out the front on the street and is free and easy to manage.

Lovely welcoming hosts, they made our three-night’s stay just perfect. Our room had everything in it that we needed including, tea/coffee making facilities, bottles of fresh water every day, comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was delicious; full English, cereals, yogurts, toast, fresh fruit, muffins, tea/coffee, whatever you fancied. Botleigh Villa is perfectly situated to walk in to Rochester (20 minutes), which I’d recommend as parking can be difficult in the town. Just a ten-minute walk into Borstal you will find the White Horse pub, where they serve the most wonderful food. On-road parking outside the property was available during our stay.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our trek on the North Downs Way booked through Contours. We had a very warm welcome from our hosts, twice in fact. The first time was when we dropped off our car before travelling to the start of our trek. Our hosts, very helpfully, allowed us to leave the car outside the property, and even gave us tea on the terrace while we waited for our taxi. That is going above and beyond in our book. When we stayed a week later, we had a lovely room, beautifully decorated and with an amazing view over the Medway. Breakfast was a real treat and we hope that when we return to resume our trek, Contours put us here again!

We stopped here overnight, the location is easy to find with plenty off on street parking. We got there a bit early but it wasn't an issue, the room was spotless and the host very friendly. The town is a an easy 15 min walk away with plenty of independent shops and pubs. Breakfast was great and everything was freshly cooked. The hosts are friendly and nothing is too much effort, with the location being close to the town we will definitely be coming back in the future.

We have a lovely stay in February. Wonderful hosts. Good vegetarian breakfasts. Clean and comfortable room with broad view of the Medway. The B&B is a mile from the castle and cathedral, but the walk was in is very interesting, especially after reaching St Margarets Road.

We arrived an hour early by accident but were welcomed inside and taken to our lovely clean , modern room . Tea and coffee facilities and fresh milk in a nice flask ... Comfortable bed , lovely host's , who couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic freshly cooked cheese omelette for myself in the morning after a great night's sleep . Lots of choices for breakfast , full English , cereals , fruit , yoghurt etc. The road is fairly quiet , which was great . 20 minutes walk into town centre along a straight road . Lots of places to eat and drink in nice surroundings . Definitely would recommend & love to stay in the future . Many thanks
