Oh how I have savored every day, minute, hour and second since we departed your hotel. If you haven’t handed in your notice yet, let me offer a resignation letter for you. ******** To: Wingate by Wyndham Rock Hill SC Upper Management: Effective immediately I, Bonnie the front desk manager, tender my resignation. It’s been a long run (not sure how long exactly but at least 8 months), much longer than my other previous positions that I couldn’t seem to hold down. You see, I hate people and I especially hate kids. And when you allow people to book rooms with their kids, well that just won’t do. You thought I would care for this place, but if you took a look at me, I mean a real good look, I cant even care for myself. You want me to open the pool so people can enjoy one of your offered amenities, but I hate pools too! That’s why I let it look and smell like a swamp. Guests have told me (numerous times) they’ve seen cockroaches in their rooms to which I simply respond “impossible bc they scatter when the lights turn on.” My cat even scratched up your pleather lobby couch and I used a sledgehammer to crack the walls in some of the rooms. In addition, I took the liberty of releasing flesh eating spiders into each and every room so as to ensure no one ever comes back. Figured that was a nice touch! This past weekend you allowed yet another group of sports teams to book rooms here. I had to deal with many complaints (actually only one) that the 13 yr old boys were too loud from someone who ultimately just wanted a free room. Oh and get this, I scheduled 1 person to work the night shift when about 60 people were checking in at the same time. He threatened to quit- can you believe that? Blasphemy! Sure I could’ve looked to see when all of these people were supposed to arrive, but that would’ve been me putting in an effort and that just ain’t me. One guest complained that her door wasn’t locking- now this I believe. I often let the batteries run out in the door locks and only replace when I feel like getting to it. Anything above and beyond would really just be overachieving. So, as I stated above, I quit! Good luck finding someone to fill these shoes. I’m sure it will be much easier than you think!
