Casa Martini

Truly a hidden gem and it’s really the people that bring the warmth and love to this place!! To be honest, this place is not an obvious find, as it is a building with no big signs. But we were able to get a ride arranged to and from the airport, which made things very easy. Please make sure to have cash to pay :) The elevator is very small and not the most modern elevator we would see in the U.S. I was a little unsure in the beginning but since the review had 5 stars, I knew I had to give it a chance. We were immediately greeted with warmth and because we came so early, we were able to eat breakfast while we waited for our room to be cleaned. It was very nice that we were able to check-in earlier than we had expected, and this was the start of our amazing time in Italy. The breakfast was delicious!!! It was simple, but honestly was the best and it felt like I was at home. The location is also prime. It’s right in-front of the metro and walking distance to the Vatican. If you wanted to jog around, you would definitely hit a lot of the tourist sites! The only feedback I have is that the water in the showers does leak to the bathroom floor… but they do provide large bath towels, that kept the floor dry. Other than that, highly recommend this place to stay. It is probably the best choice in this area. Would definitely stay again :) ** just as a side note. We stayed here the entire time (about 5 days) and also booked trips that picked us up from this hotel (or we went to a meeting point that was 10 mins via metro) and saw Amalfi/Positano and Florence/Pisa. It was a very convenient location to do other tours in Italy! **

Fantastic stay! Lovely host and attentive staff who helped our family make unforgettable memories during our trip to Rome. Extended family of 14 easily accommodated. Host kindly helped to arrange transportation and provided restaurant recommendations for our large party. Wonderful stay!

Our experience was absolutely great! Everything was just perfect! The location is super good. All the main attractions are in a 50-60 min walking distance. Vatican is just in 10 min walking from the hotel. There is a metro station just one block away from the hotel, and several bus lines, so you can get to any place easily. Both are very comfortable and easy to use. The room was very nice, cosy and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Everything super clean (the room was cleaned daily!). You have shampoo and shower gel, amazing white towels, air conditioner, little fridge and a coffee machine in the room. There is also a common kitchen which is open 24 hours a day. You can enjoy some tea or coffee with tasty cookies at any time. The breakfast also deserves to be mentioned as one of the most positive things of our stay. It is served on the roof terrace of the building, and is very complete. You get a good variety of tasty things, that are served by the anfitrión and his small team. It was a perfect start of the day. The atmosphere was very friendly, we really felt like at home. My 2-year old son misses a lot this beautiful “tradition” of having breakfast on the terrace 😊😊😊 And THE ANFITRIÓN GIANLUCA is the best of the best! From the very first moment he was sooooo friendly and helpful. He helped us with the airport transfer (which is very recommendable by the way). He explained us where to go, what to see, how to get, where to eat, etc… He was always available for anything we might need… THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for having made our stay in Rome unforgettable! If only we had a chance to come back to Rome one day, we wouldn’t hesitate: this is the right place to stay! It is impossible not to fall in love with it. Everything was perfect.

Gianluca was in touch with us ever since our booking. We are new to Rome but was given the Rome map & all the instructions. The guidance & suggestions that Gianluca provided was great and made things very easy for us. We booked the airport pick up through the hotel and they were on time. Rooms were clean & quite. Morning breakfast was nice. We definitely recommend this place!

A wonderful guesthouse to stay in for a short break in Rome. Super close to The Vatican and a stones throw from a Metro station. Rooms small but very comfortable, clean, and well serviced. The owner, Gianluca, is amazingly helpful and helped us plan tours and places to eat. Can’t recommend it enough.

Our lovely accommodation was spotlessly clean, bright and spacious with much attention to detail and consideration for guests comfort. The bedroom overlooked the street but was surprisingly quiet. Lovely breakfast comprising of fresh croissants, from the downstairs bakery, various fruit juices, yoghurts, fruit, bread and toast, eggs cooked however you like, jams, cheese and cold cuts and coffee or tea served on the rooftop terrace was a great start to each day. Gianluca and staff were always on hand for advice and obviously care very much about what they do. Literally five minutes walk to the Metro which made getting about really easy, although we took advice from Gianluca and walked almost everywhere, you see so much more. We would thoroughly recommend Casa Martini, we loved it there!
