We weren't expecting much for such a low price and some previous bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was a short walk easy from the main areas and an easy walk to Villa Borghese's park but much quieter than being right in the hustle and bustle. The staff were super friendly and helpful , they even provided a small kettle for the room a long with great local restaurant recommendations. The only issue we had was with the heater which was fixed immediately upon reporting . Breakfast was a lovely selection . The room was clean and comfortable with everything you would need and expect at the price and this style of hotel. Our room was attached to the main hotel but had it's own entrance which was actually lovely. I went for several runs by myself and even being a solo female felt very safe in the local area.

Friendly staff, nice room but basic but did have a hairdryer. Take a travel kettle as not one in room. The breakfast was a bit of a strange combo but something for everyone. Check in is 3pm and not before! Bit of a trek into town so grab a no. 60 bus outside

Rome Garden Hotel is an adequate choice for a hotel in Rome. Our room on the third floor looked out towards the main road, but the hotel is set back so noise isn't a problem. The room itself was fairly basic but it had everything you could require for a stay. The room was clean on arrival and cleaned every day while we were out. Breakfast wasn't part of our deal through Easyjet Holidays but we decided to give it a go on the first morning. The cost was 12 Euros per person which is probably a fair price in a major city. Our daughter wasn't keen on what was on offer so we had breakfast in our room the remainder of the stay. Main problem was no Bacon. Unusual for a hotel breakfast. The people working the Reception were always polite and informative when approached. Absolutely fine. The hotel itself is a little bit out of the city but is well appointed for buses and the Metro. We found the number 60 or 62 bus would take you pretty much anywhere you needed in the Trevi Fountain area of the old city. It's cheap travel. If you turned right out the hotel and right again at the traffic lights you will find Metro 400 metres along the road. The Metro took us directly to The Coliseum. The City Tax is 6 Euros per person per night. Overall a very nice stay at a nice hotel. I recommend this hotel for a family staying in Rome.

Basic, clean hotel. Tiny outside patio area with about 5 bistro tables and no garden despite the hotel name. Tiny breakfast room with only 8 tables. Breakfast was ok. Only hot items were rubbery scrambled egg. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. Bedroom Doors are not secure. Very thin wooden doors with a yale lock and key - difficult to ensure locked properly and would only take a slight shove to break in. Did not feel safe or secure. Walls are very thin, no one got any sleep - you can hear the busy road and everyone talking in the rooms around you. But the worst was the aggressive and physically intimidating male member of staff who got right into my female friends face and raised his voice at her. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Do not stay here if you’re female. It is not safe or secure and this man’s behaviour towards his female guests was disgusting. We were leaving on an early excision and asked twice if we could have an early breakfast or a breakfast box and both times we were told that was no problem and to come down half an hour early for breakfast. When we did there was nothing ready and the staff told us they knew nothing about it. My friend asked a female member of staff if we could take some pastries that were being put out and she was told yes. As she was bagging some up a male member of staff got right up into her face, intimidating her and being verbally aggressive. He scowled at those of us who were sat in the garden. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

I booked this hotel through love holidays for my husband’s surprised birthday trip to Rome. We were shocked when we arrived to the hotel to find out we were in a separate residential building and 5 minutes walked with a complex 4 key entry called the HOUSE GARDEN. . This is not advertised or stated anywhere on the website which is a disappointing miscommunication that definitely interrupted our stay. The rooms don’t look the same as advertised on the website. When I complained to the reception about this and they said they would move us next morning but next morning they said they would charge us extra £30 if we want to stay in ACTUAL ROME GARDEN HOTEL. I didn’t accept this as I booked my holiday through Love Holidays and paid full amount. About tourist taxes in Italy they charged us 3 star hotel prices which is £6 for a day but we didn’t stay there.. so it was very disappointing holiday for us, When I was there I contacted Love Holidays and they didn’t help at all. They said they called the hotel and hotel said they checked in this hotel. Also we had a problem with the shower as well. The water temperature changed very randomly. Ahh and another thing you couldn’t call the reception from your room as the phone wasn’t working .. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone! PLEASE BE AWARE
