Hotel Roquetas El Palmeral by Pierre & Vacances

The hotel opened its doors early in the year to accommodate pensioners through IMSERSO and Turismo Social. Spacious room with 2 huge comfortable beds, and the bathroom was fitted with a walk-in shower. The room was serviced promptly each day by the friendly and efficient cleaners. Food was plentiful and nutritious, though a bit repetitive, and only cold plates were available. The vino rosado in the restaurant tasted slightly oxidised but the blanco and tinto were good. Full marks to the friendly bar staff and praise goes to Willy, the entertainment guy! He is non-stop and turns his hand to all aspects of work in the bar area, as well as putting on various forms of entertainment for the guests! (The pacharan went down well!) Bar prices were reasonable. Overall, we had a very pleasant 7-night stay.

I wasn't happy from booking in. The reception staff spoke poor English. Although the hotel and the room were nice it was simply the fact that there wasn't any warning signs around allergies in English, as to the food or pets. If I had known that your hotel allowed dogs then I would not have gone. Even the jet 2 rep was Spanish and not very helpful!

This hotel is really aimed at Spanish clientele. There is little English spoken by any of the staff, and no attempts made to include any English in any of the activities. It is very loud in all areas, especially around the pool and in the bar - if you want a chilled holiday this is not the place for you! There is constant very loud music, horrendous drum and base at volume 11 both in the bar and round the pool, so even if you want to cool off in the bar there is no chance of any conversation because the MUSIC IS TOO LOUD. And really bad as well. The animation guy does a lot of shouting throughout the day, but only in Spanish, so no idea what's going on, just very loud. I'm in my room at the moment, the furthest room you can get from the bar, and I can still hear the horrendously loud music! So much for siesta. The food in the restaurant would be great, if it was hot. You must get in there before 8.30 for breakfast, just after 1 for lunch, and before 8.30 for dinner otherwise you cannot get a table as all the Spanish guests eat at the same time, and the food runs out very quickly. And it is VERY LOUD in the restaurant at these times. All in all not a relaxing holiday, I can't understand why jet2 would have this hotel in their brochure, definitely not for British tourists, and I can speak some Spanish, but find it hard to find anythingto like here. Oh, two fabulous comfy double beds in the room...but there are no drawers or bedside cabinets and only six hangers between two of us. And the shower floor is like wet glass, accident waiting to happen...nowhere to put your soap or shampoo except on the shower floor. We won't be returning.

The Hotel was pleasant enough and clean but the food was cold. The guests were mainly Spanish and the staff spoke very little English but were very helpful especially if you made an attempt to speak to them in Spanish.

He estado en muchos hoteles y la verdad con este me llevé una decepción bastante grande . La habitación la verdad que no puedo tener queja las camas son grandes y cómodas, el armario no tiene puertas , eso no me gustó,la limpieza es buena y la ubicación es buena también por su cercanía a la playa. Lo peor y por eso lo califico tan bajo es el tema de la oferta gastronómica. A mí no me venden la moto de las recomendaciones de la OMS, me he dedicado muchos años al mundo de la restauración y la oferta que tienen en el bufete es una auténtica porquería, muchos fritos , pescado de baja calidad y carne mal cocinada , me refiero a la plancha , el arroz pasable, y la oferta gastronómica es muy poco variada y llega un momento que te cansas de comer siempre lo mismo, de la limpieza mejor ni hablamos, platos de loza tan viejos que da un poco de grima y salen mojados de la cocina así como los cuencos para servirte lo que ellos llaman sopa, llenos de agua del lavavajillas, los cubiertos pegajosos el suelo fatal y las mesas no os cuento las manchas que tiene que ya no se van ni con lejía, pero no se le puede pedir peras al olmo con el escasísimo personal que tiene que encima son polivalentes , valen para todo. Colas interminables … en fin No volvería a pasar mis vacaciones y tampoco lo recomiendo

El Peor hotel que he visto con diferencia y he visto muchos, hasta de dos estrellas. El personal con muy poca educación (algunos ninguna). Como un tal Makan o parecido (porque no llevan los nombres en la camiseta.) que cuándo le pedí que me solucionará un problema con la mesa, me dijo que no era mi esclavo y cuando le contesté que si el cobraba por estar hay, me dijo que yo era un lengua mientras sacaba pecho y me lo ponía en mi cara en forma de amenaza. La comida una vergüenza, lo único que se puede comer es ensalada y fruta, porque las cuatro cosas que hay son incomibles. Por no tener no tienen ni salero en las mesas. Tengo de quejas para escribir un libro pero casi todas con el comedor y cocina.
