We spent a week in Manduna for our honeymoon, and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. Everything was 5 stars — the service, the location, the food, the surf. The staff 6 stars. No doubt we’ll be back!

Rote is truly a slice of paradise, and staying at Manduna Resort made the experience unforgettable. Eduardo and his incredible team went above and beyond to spoil us — they didn’t just meet our expectations, they raised the bar for every future trip. The resort is perfectly equipped for every kind of day — whether you're in the mood to lounge on a quiet, stunning beach or chase waves on a surfboard, Manduna has it all covered. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views that we’re still dreaming about. Manduna strikes a beautiful balance between the serene simplicity of Rote and the thoughtful comforts that city dwellers like us appreciate. It’s the best of both worlds — laid-back island life without compromising on quality or service. The waves, the sunsets, the powdery sand, and the cozy bonfires will stay with us for a long time. A truly epic trip, and a place we’ll always carry in our hearts.

We just had the most memorable holiday of our lives at the Manduna Resort. The resort is located right at this gorgeous white-sand beach and and blue ocean. In other words a paradise all for yourself, which is so hard to find these days. Everything was perfect, they think of everything: from the airport pickup, boat tickets to the beautiful flower arrangement on the table. All you have to do is relax and enjoy. The staff is absolutely incredible. They call you by your name and they are there to ensure you have the most perfect stay. The room and bathroom are beautifully decorated and the bed super comfy..The other facilities are also amazing. I loved the sauna and the iced bath, as well as the amazing pool. The food is superb. Made fresh and for your taste. You feel welcomed and relaxed. The owners are pleasant people to be around and we learned so much from them. You literally feel at home! Whether you are a surfer or just want to relax, Manduna offers it all. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for making our 5 days there unforgettable.

We had the privilege to stay at Manduna for 10 nights and all I can say is that the experience was fantastic! The staff is attentive to small details. The location is fantastic and the facilities are fabulous. The owners and the staff do take pride of their place and make sure you have the best time of your like there. Food was also delicious. From the very first contact, Manduna Resort made us feel incredibly welcome. Before our trip even began, Lanna and Elias set up a WhatsApp group with us and immediately started helping with every little detail, from booking our Susi Air tickets to arranging fast ferry transfers. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and this thoughtful support made us feel cared for long before we arrived. When we got to the resort, we were greeted by Eduardo, the owner, and his friends – all warm, kind-hearted Brazilians who radiate hospitality. The breakfast experience alone deserves a mention. Each morning you get a small checklist where you can choose exactly what you’d like – from fresh fruit to scrambled eggs, delicious Brazilian dishes, and great coffee. Eduardo personally checked if there was anything else we or our children would like, making sure even the smallest requests were met with a smile. The location is breathtaking. The resort sits right on a pristine beach scattered with beautiful shells. The water is perfect for both snorkeling and surfing, and often you have the whole place to yourself. At night, the sky is so dark and clear that we saw more stars than ever before. We rented scooters directly from Manduna, which made exploring easy. One evening, our fuel was running low and we planned to ask where to fill up the next day. Before we could even mention it, the staff had already topped up the tank for us – without asking for payment. This “above and beyond” approach was consistent throughout our stay. They also helped us plan surf lessons and gave advice on the best times to go snorkeling. We visited with our two daughters, aged 7 and 10, and it felt like the perfect family island experience – simple, natural, and full of warmth. The island is still underdeveloped, which adds to its charm, but it also means there are no large supermarkets. We recommend bringing extra sunscreen, especially for lighter skin, as it can be hard to find locally. In our case, when we ran out, Lanna generously shared her own supply without hesitation. We met lovely other families during our stay, adding to the friendly, home-like atmosphere of the resort. It was the perfect mix of comfort, community, and untouched beauty. Getting there from Amsterdam is a bit of a journey, but it’s absolutely worth it. Manduna Resort has truly stolen our hearts, and we will definitely return!!

The food is consistently excellent, with a menu that satisfies both hungry surfers and little ones alike. The pool is a highlight, offering sweeping views of the ocean and sunsets that will stay with you long after you leave. And the location couldn’t be better—tucked into the most beautiful part of the island, it’s naturally sheltered from the harsh wind and heat that can hit other parts of Rote.
