Absolutely brilliant had a lovely weekend and couldn’t of asked for better customer service beds were brilliant rooms were spotless couldn’t find one thing to complain about 10/10 recommend perfect for anyone, friends, family etc 👍🏽👍🏽

Spent a great weekend in Rothbury at the Armstrong Manor Hotel a few weeks ago celebrating my brother in laws birthday. Nothing was a problem from check in to check out. Ashley was the perfect host, friendly, witty and entertaining (we didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Andy who was away for the weekend). The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard, modern and bright, very quirky with lots of interesting curios in the bar and restaurant - the best being the magnificent lion. Our rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. There was a great atmosphere in the bar chatting to the locals. Thanks for a great stay, you are an asset to the town and we will stay again when we visit Rothbury.

We needed a break and I’m so glad we chose Armstrong Manor, the staff were so lovely, upon arrival we were greeted with nothing but kindness and the flowers I requested for my other half were lovely. We spent the weekend there and couldn’t complain about anything, thank you Ashley and Andrew oh and Dave We had a great time.

This is the worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure of nearly staying in, mangers were rude, rooms were disgusting and the smell of damp was overwhelming, still waiting for our money back, promised to pay us but never did, disgusting. The rooms on the website are nothing like the rooms we were offered

Not sure what has happened since previous reviews . First of all it was difficult to get in at 4.15 pm , without phoning Andy .. The outside and entrance areas were scruffy and had an unpleasant smell . In complete contrast our room was clean , spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfy and we slept well . Breakfast the next day was extremely basic , with only cheap thin white bread , tinned tomatoes and unpleasant tasting mushrooms. We had to ask for cereal bowls and marmalade to go with the toast . The bar and restaurant area was closed so we had a delicious dinner in La Mensa in the town .

Just home from the best evening I’ve had in a long time in Rothbury. Had such great hospitality, fun, and laughs at Armstrong Manor. Ashley is so welcoming and charismatic and the bar and atmosphere just brings a cosy vibe with that feel of relaxation and homeliness. Even the other customers were so lovely and welcoming - such a giggle and time out just what a week end should consist of. Can’t wait to go back and stay over !

What a cracking place to stay! So pleased that we found Armstrong Manor. The rooms are immaculate and spacious. The bar and restaurant are a real pleasure to be in with so many interesting curios and artworks (especially the magnificent lion!). Ashley is a perfect host, for whom nothing is too much trouble. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. It was like staying with family. We cannot recommend Armstrong Manor highly enough, it is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in, in Rothbury and we loved its fabulous quirkiness. We will be back!

What an amazing place. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed as if we were family from Andy the Barman to Andy and Ashley the proprietors.The reviews from old are very old, the hotel has been renovated to an excellent standard, our room was fabulous and spotless, the whole place is just a joy, so quirky absolutely loved it and will certainly be back. Thank you guys for saving us from Clennell Hall Country House. Thanks for breakfast Andy delicious.

Called several times over our weekend break and what a beautiful venue with welcoming and friendly hosts Ashley and Andrew who made us feel very welcome and loved our dogs, also met some locals who were great company and hoping to return very soon to stay over at the Manor - Andrew and Ashley are doing a great job 💕💕
