Rotherham East (M18/M1)

Comfortable stay with lovely food and good service in the restaurant. Front of house staff were welcoming and helpful. With a special mention to Jamie who is most possibly the politest and most helpful member of staff I have ever encountered at a UK hotel and I think we are on our 10th weekend away this year so far.

Staff good rest not so good. Very noisy floorboards in our room, corridor and above us. Very little sleep Mildew in bathroom, towels wouldn't dry. Beds aged, wifi poor. Restaurant- seats all stained, carpets worn, plaster falling off, bar area cold and shut at 9pm. Window sills and blinds Very dusty. Wheelchair user had to go outside to get from bar to room as no ramp or lift..in this day and age that's POOR. Was meeting family and friends here but was too embarrassed due to how run down it is so ate and drank in other establishments. Upgrade and renovation needed NOW. Charge for car park now, something new. Stayed here before but won't again until renovations are done. Bet Lenny Henry would be horrified, as we were.

Nice stay. The guy on reception, Jamie was brilliant. The beds were comfy and the rooms decent. The car park is huge so no problems parking. We had lunch in the restaurant which was good and again the service was very good. We checked out on Mother’s Day, they had little gifts in reception for mums to take away.
