ibis Rotorua is located near a public geothermal park, you can visit there to take a look at the bubbling pool and smell the steaming sulphur filled in the air.

Stayed here two nights. Lots of problems with the first room (shower kept flooding and there was no soap) and requested to change rooms - eventually but it took a long time for staff to organise. 2nd room didn’t have enough towels. Beds were very soft. Staff were polite and breakfast was ok.

Access to the heated pool, spa and gym in the hotel next door is a treat. Nice location close to the lake, Eat Street and Kuirua Park for free access to geothermal hot springs and foot bath.

Staff were extremely welcoming, thanks for the warm reception. The room was not the cleanest, and the shower soap dispenser was empty. The bed was extremely soft and although I would have preferred a firmer matress, the sheets were at least very clean and fresh
All in all, a good hotel thst could be improved significantly simply by ensuring room is at least checked for a better level of general cleanliness.

Good room but small. No toiletries like toothpaste and toothbrush. No water provided just so you know. swimming pool have to walk to novotel hotel. Big pool has to pay extra.

Overall, a lovely trip yo Rotorua. A car is needed to get around but parking is first come first serve. Small minor issue of arriving and having to walk around to the front of the hotel as the entrance in the car park need a key to enter (not not use the lift)
