Grand Hotel Central recensioner

The hotel is located just a few minute walk from the main train station. The room size is good and clean, there is a kettle and instant coffee. The shower run out of hot water after a few minutes. It is okay place to stay for one night and nothing special.

Plenty of food outlets close by the hotel. About a ten minute walk to Rotterdam Centraal station. As you would expect staff spoke good English.

Don’t really know, the rooms need maintenance for sure, no AC, definitely was a good hotel in the past I guess but not really anymore , no good internet at all, and the toilet is insanely annoying the way you have to flush it is so weird , yeah I didn’t really liked it tbh but it’s okay!!

It was hot during the summer so had the window open and it let mosquitoes in the room. Otherwise good clean rooms and good amenities. Comfortable beds.

The hotel’s room is big and clean. Though the design is a bit old-fashioned but that is ok with us. Staff are friendly and the location is great ! Really convenient ! Everywhere we wanted to go to is within walking distance or could take the MRT train from the Stadhuis station. This station is the nearest to this hotel. From the Central Station to this hotel, it is about 8 to 10mins walk. There are many eateries, restaurants, supermarket and shopping areas nearby. Many burgers outlets around. Some even open till 11pm. Do take note that other eateries close earlier like 8pm or 9pm. Though there is no air-con but there is a standing fan available. The TV is clear and is in working condition. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The only thing that disappointed us was the elevator. It was not working for the 3 nights stay here. The staff was very kind, she arranged for us to stay on the 1st floor. Hence, fewer steps for us to carry our luggages up.

Location is good, in a newly developed area filled with modern buildings, less than 10 minutes walk from Rotterdam central station if you know the right direction. The hotel interior is old, but they try to keep up by offering necessary supplies such as paper cups, tea bags, kettle, and disposable slippers (the last one is no more common practice in Europe). With the reasonable price, it is an ok choice for a short stay.

Based on the budget, i think the hotel is quite good.

Electric Power break down as it seems old cabling and wifi never works and no attention done by some staff though some staff is good also . Hotel is centrally located only needs some attention .

The hotel location is excellent near Rail Station, Metro, Shopping and Supermarket. Unfortunately, there is no fridge and telephone in the room.

The hotel is okay for a night. The location is fine, near to shops and supermarket. But don’t book if you are planning to cancel anytime because they won’t refund you at all. Even how strong or valid your reason is. They won’t consider it at all!! They will just say, “because of the cancellation policy…” :/ Also, the room smells bad. My key card didn’t work after a day of use. I had to go down and ask for a new one. And what frustrated me the most is the tissue that was floating n the toilet when I arrived. It was really gross! First time I experienced it. This is my honest review. Sorry but won’t book this hotel ever again.

The window can’t really closed, noisy , dirty , old, hot. The toilet is disgusting! Not worth that price.
