Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Chalets

My family of 4 stayed here at the end of October for 2 nights. My children are 6 and 9 and we managed to get very reasonable flights and the cabin was also great value. We hired a car and drove to the cabin from the airport. Car hire worked out cheaper than taxis to and from the airport and it allowed us the freedom to explore. I would really recommend hiring a car if you are staying here as you will probably need to make a trip to the supermarket and the Santa village, both are less than 15 minutes drive from the cabin. The cabin was very impressive on arrival. Really spacious and spotless clean. Our cabin slept 6, had 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a lovely porch outside. The log fire in the living room was so nice and we were really lucky as it snowed while we were there. There are lots of walking trails beside the cabin and my family loved exploring the woods in the snow. A family Trip to Lapland can be very expensive so having the option of just playing in the snow right by the cabin is great. Everything at the Santa Village has a price but staying here allowed us to build a snow man outside the cabin, explore the woods, cook a meal and enjoy it together. I would really recommend this place and I hope to return again.

I don’t no where to begin! :( hard earned money for over 2.5 years to literally be shattered in a heartbeat. Please do not visit Christmas cottages in Finland. What an absolute shameful place to be. This was meant to be a once in a life opportunity/holiday and it’s been ruined completely. TUI them selfs sell this holiday like it’s magical, the place to be, it’s got everything there, it’s unbelievable, eyes ping open every minute of every day. It’s FAR from this!!!! It’s horrible, the staff are RUDE!!!! Wont do anything for you, the chalets themself are utterly disgusting the bedding’s got dirt mashed into them. The mattress I wouldn’t allow an animals to sleep on them. I am absolutely heartbroken that we’ve spent this amount of money on absolutely nothing. Please do not come here with your kids they will be absolutely gutted. :(

Wir waren mit LuxairTours dorthin geflogen für 5 Tage. Das Chalet ist sehr bequem und man fühlt sich wie in eine schönen alten Skihütte! Morgens und Abends konnte man dann zum Restaurant gehen (200m), dort bekam man dann ein leckeres Buffet, wo man aussuchen konnte was man essen wollte! Das Chalet hat 6 Betten, und zwei Badezimmer, mit einer Sauna und einer Küche. Zwei Duschen sind auch dabei. Holz für den Kamin wird auch bereit gestellt im raum nebenan. Eine Treppe führt hoch zu einem Badezimmer und den anderen 4 betten. Es gab auch noch einen Schrank, wo man die Kleider rein tun konnte, um sie zu trocknen, so eine Art Trockenschrank! Essen für die Küche musste man selbst kaufen gehen. Im allgemeinen war das Chalet sehr Sauber und angenehm für die 5 Tage.
