Hotel Čad

Lovely and quiet location. Boutique hotel. Not far from city centre. Nice, clean rooms. Bed mattress could have been better. Standard amenities in place. Very good restaurant/ bistro; breakfast was excellent. Friendly and accommodating staff.

We ate breakfast there. We wanted to order gluten free bread, they told us that they don't have it. I asked if waffles are gluten free (in menu was written that is gluten free, because it wasnt marked with No.1). They didnt know. I told miss that I would like to speak to chef to ask him. We were waiting for 45 minutes. Miss told us that he doesn't have time. They didn't have all drinks from the menu (ice tea, home made lemonade etc.) The ambient is really nice but I was very dissapointed. I wrote an email them to complain.

The rooms here are absolutely impeccable, clean, smart, cool, silent air conditioning, reasonable mini bar, complimentary, water, chili are and toiletries. Very warm welcome, staff approachable and friendly couldn’t do enough. Parking convenient. It’s a 15/20 minute walk into town, but if you want the castle it’s around 40 minutes walk as you need to get accross town. However a taxi to the castle is only 8 euros, coming back it was so hot 35 degrees we were at the old town and it was only 4 euros. The walk is through the park if you choose to walk, very pretty. There is a bistro at the hotel, serving snacks and drinks or a la carte. The hotel so has a Resteraunt next door set in a beautiful garden. Food is average. Breakfast here is a la carte and is from 7am, I would say the breakfast is what let the hotel down the most, we had to have breakfast at 7am due to having to leave early, the staff were still vacuuming and the chef not best pleased at cooking an early breakfast and we were served cold uncooked sausages. I would stay here again, as rooms and staff top notch, I’d just avoid the breakfast option.

In Ljubljana on business, I chose this secluded, small hotel just outside the city center (I had recently stayed at a hotel in the center and was not at all satisfied). Small but with all the amenities, with a restaurant (which I was told by Slovenian friends to be very popular especially in summer in the city), it was a nice surprise. Quiet, friendly staff, very clean and with a breakfast menu of the highest quality! I will not fail to return whenever I have to reside here!

Very cosy boutique hotel with very clean rooms, nice decor and great calm location near a forest. great breakfast and free parking. nice garden place where you can take your dinner or lunch. over all a hidden gem!

The rooms and the hotel is very nicely decorated. However don't expect a quiet and garden experience : most of the rooms have only a parking view, which surround the two main side of the hotel. Only the back of the hotel has a nice garden view. You need to be aware that the hotel is at least 30 mins by walk from the city centre. Also, we specifically selected this hotel because it has electric car chargers. Our car is a hybrid car with only a 50 km electric autonomy. I was told by email 3 weeks before our stay that they would check with the hotel management that the 30 euros fees for the charge could be reduced. I never got a response and was told on arrival that despite the small 50 km charge, the "management has instructed that the fees would still be 30 euros". Very disappointing. Overall, the hotel inside is nice but the overall experience (staff, location) is very disappointing. We stayed at the Intercontinental 3 days before, it was slightly more expensive but much better value for money.

Having previously looked at booking Zlata Ladjica, I decided to go with this option on account of the fact I was arriving late in in the day, leaving pretty early and thought I'd opt for something a bit cheaper. Essentially I wanted a boutique hotel with parking, in an area that was good for a morning run. When it comes to the latter, the hotel was perfect, located next to a huge park with lots of trails for walking and running. Unfortunately that's about where my satisfaction ended. We arrived at 21.30 (as I had advised we would) and were 'welcomed' by probably the most unfriendly member of staff I have ever come across. When he finally came to reception, he went straight into an office without saying anything to us other than 'do you have a reservation', and then sat there in silence for 5 minutes until we asked if we could please check in. He eventually asked for payment for the room, to which I told him I'd provided card details some weeks prior, having been offered a small discount for pre payment. He disappeared again and came back with a piece of paper which had all of my credit card details written on it, in full, obviously having been there since I provided them weeks ago. He seemed completely oblivious to why I found this inappropriate and eventually just handed me the keys, no offer to show us to the room, no help with the bags. Nothing. The room itself was as per the photos, nice and big, very clean, nice toiletries. Not a huge amount of attention to detail - three pairs of slippers but only one robe, no shower gel, just little things that are normally standard in a boutique hotel. Unfortunately the air con was broken and the room was 25 degrees - we discovered this after our charming friend from reception had left for the day so not a whole lot we could do about it. I saw some google reviews mentioning the same. Next came the icing on the cake. I had advised I would be arriving late and asked if there would be food available. I was advised that the restaurant is open until 11 so eating would be no problem. On arrival, we first tried to order room service at 21.45 (menu advises that this is available until 10) to be told this wasn't an option. We walked over to the restaurant who were cleaning up for the night and told us they were closing as everyone else had finished eating. We basically ended up having some nuts from the mini bar for dinner. Breakfast was nice enough but we sat outside for 10 minutes with staff walking past us only to be told they wouldn't serve us outside when we finally gave up and asked for a menu. The two things we chose were both unavailable but what we did have was nice, Service was very slow and the poor lady working in the restaurant was doing her best on her own. I can only assume this place is struggling for staff like the rest of the hospitality industry but not doing a great job of managing it. I spoke to a person I can only assume was the manager the following morning who advised that it wasn't

It was a perfect accommodation and breakfast ,and the service and personal was more than pleasant. We will come back with great joy.Barbara was more than helpful and the rooms with a cosy design and very clean. Minibar diversity was more than enough.When we arrived one beautiful dear welcome us.

Great location, quiet and very modern facility, available parking space, and is close to nature. A delicious breakfast made my day happy. The hotel is very convenient to book if somebody wants to visit the zoo in Ljubljana.
