Wander around Hokitika's Craft Shops or out to the Hokitika Gorge then to the treetop walkway. Hire a bike and do the Bike Trail. See the Glow worms. Or maybe a game of golf. Or just out to the lakes. Also a drive to the Franz Josef Glacier which is only one and a half hours drive or up to Punakaiki Pancake Rocks. Then after a busy day back to the house- relax and on colder days light the fire or switch on the heat pump. Maybe head up to Woodstock tavern for that dinner and music.
