Hotel Anna Palace

The A/C does not work in the room. We asked at the desk for Someone to come look at it and the lady in charge said to just open our window. She said the A/C can’t keep the room cool. What??? It’s 80 degrees in the room. There is no fan for circulation. There is no breeze for air to blow into the window from outside. A very sticky, hot night. Rooms should be a livable Temperature.

Outside aspect is not four stars. On the inside the room was clean, recently painted with functional furniture. Nothing thorn apart, nothing dirty… The view from the window is poor, (on the side of hotel - overlooking a backyard common with a tenement) yet we didn’t ask for Danube view. My father in law had a room with Danube view, and I can say it’s quite nice. On the staff side - the lady from the reception has been always helpful with some good suggestions regarding our choices in terms of restaurants. We visit Ryce quite often just for lunch. At her recommendation we tried some other restaurants that were good. Conclusion: don’t be scared of the outside look, the hotel is nice, clean and the staff helpful.

We had really bad experience last week in the outdoor restaurant. Two inexperienced young boys served us and ruined our family gathering. To start with, the wine list was so limited. Also, we waited approx. 1 hour the food to be served. Those two young boys have been so unprofessional, whatever we asked them, we didn’t receive any explanation. The food menu is quite limited too and what’s written is not actually in reality what it should be. For example – baby potatoes are huge, massive potatoes. Or the BBQ chicken has been cocked as boiled chicken. One of the waiters - Teo has been so rude and impolite, he even didn’t say hello to us to greet us. We weren’t asked to test the wine, despite that we wanted to. Clearly the staff need proper training and proper chef cook to prepare the food that menu promise to offer. Also, please invest in some clean uniforms and clean white shirts for the staff. Thank you!

Hotel Anna Palace. Took elevator to our 1st floor room. Room was good size with a king bed with nice bedding. Nice desk with several electrical outlets and a high intensity lamp overhead. No in-room safe, but small refrigerator. Only one built-in luggage rack so used round table for second bag. Two nice chairs although they were not high enough to use, comfortably at the desk. Bathroom with walk-in shower. Hotel provided four containers of body wash, but no conditioner, shampoo, or body lotion. We did have breakfast at the hotel. They offered warm scrambled eggs, ham, and hot dogs. They had meats and cheeses, a bowl of fruit and some cereals. Coffee machine and juices available.

Bell’hotel in edificio classico. Molto vicino al centro. Parcheggio in loco. La nostra stanza era molto grande (5 finestre) con una zona notte e zona salotto. Molto piacevole. Personale cortese. Letto molto duro. Unica pecca, colazione carente di dolce.
