Days Inn by Wyndham Ruther Glen Kings Dominion Area

This hotel was very nice the room was very comfortable the beds were very comfortable. It’s super close to Kings Dominion and a bunch of gas stations. The staff was very sweet and helpful:))

I booked this hotel as a Wyndham Rewards member hoping to get a free room half way to my destination. They wouldn’t take points but the room was cheap, something like $45. It would have been fine for that price but there was no heat. When I arrived it said it was 58 degrees in the room. I arrived around 11pm. So I called the office and she said to set it up 70. I went to bed and it showed 63 at 4am. I called thinking maybe I was doing something wrong or there was a thermostat somewhere. He did offer to switch my room but my son was asleep so we just woke up early and left. The room was clean. There was no trash can in the room. The sheets were thin and no extra blankets. So I recommend they put more layers on the bed or provide blankets. There was one outlet not working on a light and we needed three. Overall if you need a cheap place it works because there’s no bugs. It’s clean. The breakfast was to the side. Kind of hidden. The juice machine was there not didn’t work. Drinks were in a small refrigerator so you had to pour them from the container. There was bread for toast, apples and cereal that was beyond boring. Like plain Cheerios, etc. I had some apple juice and passed. Try some donuts and danishes. Take out the broken juice machine. Push things together to make it look better. Add some jellies.

Room was absolutely disgusting. Room reeked of cigs and dampness. (Non smoking room) no fire alarm. A hole above the shower where a vent was suppose to be. Dirty bedding, honestly looked like a booger or guacamole ( I have pictures) - uncomfortable bed you can feel the springs and the bed slanted. The floor had pistachio shells all along the bed frame on the floor from previous guests. No safe. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Mind you I didn’t expect the Ritz Carlton for the price but I did expect at least a clean room. It was so filthy that when I came out of the shower and stepped on the floor the bottom of my feet turned black w whatever was sitting on the tile. It was awful. Thank god we were only in there to sleep as we were out most of the day.

The rooms are very dirty, linens r dirty & the ac doesn’t work.The door doesn’t shut properly. They offer free breakfast and when my daughter and I walked in we seen rat traps everywhere we walked out.DONT waste your money . Got me out of $88🤢🤮🤦‍♀️

Please, consider not renting a room, I understand that it might be more economical, but invest a bit more for a pice of

I had booked 3 nights hear but fled after one and even that was because I was too fatigued to fight. This place is absolutely disgusting and I don’t think they’ve properly cleaned or maintained anything in ages. Even the non smoking room reeked and if I my CPAP hadn’t filtered most of it out, I wouldn’t have slept at all. Towels were stained. Grime and cobwebs littered about. The air conditioner made sounds matching somebody scraping their feet along the pavement all night rivaled by the even louder ticking of the fridge, which had an ice box so caked up I couldn’t fit a hand in. Avoid at all costs

The overall condition of the hotel was run down , stained rugs and shoddy repairs done to the rooms . At $62 dollars a night it’s more a quickie hotel than anything else ( I’ve seen cleaner better cared for quickie hotel rooms too) so if your looking for cheap this is the place, but if you want something clean and nicer looking this ain’t it .

The rooms were old and worn. The beds were very uncomfortable. Lumpy and sagging. The foot of the bed was higher than the head. I will never stay there again. The return trip was worse! The bathroom door was not hung correctly and therefore didn't close. We had to force the room door open as it was sagging too.

You can’t stay somewhere for $50 a night and have high expectations, but how hard it is it to make sure it doesn’t smell, the sheets and towels seem clean, the floor vacuumed, and the bedding, furniture and walls not tattered and splattered with mystery substances? At least pretend to care about cleanliness! Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves for associating their name with a place like this and not ensuring they maintain some sort of standard. All of that aside I’m writing this review because I woke up the next morning with bedbug bites. That can have a lasting effect, long after you stay at a place like this, so I felt a responsibility to write a review.
