Saadani Safari Lodge - All Inclusive

An amazing stay in beautifully appointed tents/come rooms right on the beach. The bed was comfortable and we had the best sleep ever with the waves gently lapping the shore. Our favourite place was sitting on the deck of our room watching the waves roll in with the ocean breeze. So wonderful. The team were extremely attentive to our needs and the food was exquisite. It's not too big so guests receive a more personal experience, but has the amenities of a larger resort such as a pool over looking the ocean to cool down in after games drives. The drivers and guides were very knowledgeable and experienced, and managed to show us the best of this marvellous National Park. Since the lodge is inside the park there is less travelling and more time to spend spotting the numerous and varied game. The river tour was also very exciting spotting hippos and crocodiles. We visited as part of our stay in Zanzibar and it was only a 15 minute flight away from the island with a landing strip nearby the lodge. It was super sweet when we left - most of the staff came to the airstrip to wave off our plane!

The camp had a lovely atmosphere and great views of the Indian Ocean from the lodges, the lodges were luxurious, and had all you needed. The restaurant food was fantastic and all of the staff were lovely. The safari trips were well organised and I felt perfectly safe at all times. A great location with the wonderful Saadani national park a short drive away from the camp. I saw all manner of wildlife and it was a fantastic experience. I booked through Lisa Hillyard of Travel Counsellors/Tents with a View and the whole trip was well organised and enjoyable. Thanks to all involved.

Great park, stunning scenery, with a huge n beautiful sea view . Animals come first here, humans second. They have a large area to roam, which means more difficult sightings, but also more private sightings and a great safari experience (instead of an outside zoo experience). It’s my second experience here and certainly not the last . Very clean n beautiful accomadation ., staff very police and hygienic . The food is just amazing . Thanks a lot Jenny .
