The front desk staff appear to like to hide in the restaurant. Twice, in the two nights I was there, I wanted to talk to someone at the front desk and the three people who were supposed to be there were all in the restaurant, sitting and chatting at a table. The mini-bar keeps things like cheese or milk cold which is unusual in Swiss hotels in my experience. Like some other Sass-Fee hotels, you don't get your Saastal Card until breakfast on the day after you arrive. Check-in is slow if you wait for a welcome drink. The wifi connection is very good and I was able to hold a zoom call to the USA with only a couple of minutes when there was clear slowness in the connection. The shower was excellent. I had to ask for a kettle and when one arrived, it had no tea or coffee to go with it and the cup was removed after one day and I had to ask for it to be replaced. The in-room safe was too small for my computer. There was a large stain on the duvet cover. Some hotel booking websites do not show the location correctly.

the spa had a refurbish and wasn't too bad, the details are not what we expected, as example, the sauna on the first floor was to humid and to "cold" for a finish sauna and the balcony wasn't open to get some fresh air after the sauna. the chilling room was to humid too. the pool instead was a bit cold and dark and the hot tube is too small for that amount of people. so luckily it wasn't high season - the breakfast was delicous and the staff is friendly and welcoming - the room was ok.

With my husband we have been in many hotels for work or holidays but never in one like this. The truth is that we are quite disappointed with the hotel in general. We noticed a very large lack of staff, from the breakfast and dinner service where there was only one girl for the entire dining room. As well as for the cleaning of the rooms in which the guys were seen running to provide a service that was insufficient. It's a pity that such a big hotel in such a beautiful place is so neglected by its own owners.

Fabulous hotel. Amazing service from all the restaurant staff and the lovely Martine. Room was amazing. Upgraded to a suite on arrival with the most stunning views. Attention to detail in this hotel was second to none without being too sterile. We loved the pool and jacuzzi after a day on the slopes and the food was top class. Great location too. Close to the centre of the village. 5 min walk to the nursery slopes.

As with many Brits we had to look last minute for an alternative holiday after our trip to France was cancelled. From the outset, when I contacted with questions by email, and throughout our stay the team have been super helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming. The room we had offered a generous space with lots of storage making it easy for 2 adults and a pre-teen to share comfortably. The balcony was a generous size too and offered spectacular views, including a stunning sunrise as we left on New Year’s Day. The bathroom was compact, and hairdryer functional, but not the best, but those really are very minor nitpicks! Just bring hair conditioner and hair dryer with you if you are bothered with that kind of thing. The spa area is lovely and somehow tranquil and family friendly! The ski area is limited and far from the pistes we are used to, 6 days was a little too long for the area. The mountain views are really stunning and the village very pretty and easy to get around. Saving the best to last, the food far exceeded our expectations. We really like our food and fine dining. We booked the half board package for ease as we knew nothing about the area, but are so pleased we did! We were provided with a gastronomical delight every night, served in elegance and comfort by the wonderful staff. As a travel tip, getting the train from Geneva airport is easy, with bus for final part of the journey. They all run bang on time and I am assured are very reliable. If you fancy a trip to Saas-Fee we would highly recommend staying at the Schweizerhof hotel.
