Kanha Jungle Camp

Jungle Camps India is amongst our preferred abodes when on wildlife safaris. So when we moved out from Bandhavgarh (where Jungle Camps is not yet present) onto Kanha, the obvious option was Kanha Jungle Camp.  The property is spread across 40 acres, and in the midst of picturesque landscape.  And yet, it is not too far away from Mukki gate. The rooms are large, and have all the necessary amenities, despite a rustic feel. The highlight of course was the large deck with a view of the forest, and ample opportunities for birding.  We were there during winter, and safaris into the Kanha forest were superbly managed. Warm blankets, hot watter bags and sumptuous breakfast with the knowledgeable Bhupesh and Vinod team was just what we needed. A big call out for Supriya as well who helped us with a walk around the camp. They also organised star gazing in the clear night skies, but we missed out on that. The restaurant is atop a perch and has a lovely view of the forest. Food was nice and service excellent. Food across all Jingle camps is homelike with an emphasis on including local cuisine. Weekends were special as the team organised a bonfire with performances by the local tribes.  Saurabh, the GM is very friendly, super efficient and service centric. The qualities have also percolated onto the team, and that certainly was a highlight of our stay there besides the location.  Kanha is one of the most beautiful Jungles in India, and we haven't had enough of the place. We are going to be there soon, and it will certainly be Kanha Jungle Camp again.

We had the pleasure of staying at Kanha Jungle Camp in March 2025. This was a most pleasant and serene place to stay. The rooms were very clean, large and private. The staff were most helpful and the food delicious. Special thanks to Bhupesh who was our safari guide and Naturalist, he was extremley knowledgeable. Bhupesh went the extra mile to make our stay memorable and we had many tiger sightings ***** with all the other wildlife at Kanha National Park. We highly recommend Kanha Jungle Lodge.

Three of us stayed together at Khana Jungle Camp for 4 nights. The staff were all lovely, friendly and keen to please. We also appreciated the close proximity to Mukki Gate, for entry to Khana National Park. We were happy with the basic, rustic style of our room, but this won't suit all guests. We found the food choices rather underwhelming - The quality was sometimes not good and we would have appreciated more variety and choice. Having said that, when we specifically requested something different, the restaurant staff were happy to provide it. Our shower didn't work well, tending to run either too hot or cold.

This place was AWESOME! My jaw dropped when we first saw our room - absolutely stunning. It's a small lodge and the staff were incredibly attentive and kind. Only slight downfall is that it's a good 25 minute drive to the gate, but honestly this wasn't too much of an issue and usually we were too tired in the morning to even notice. Also, if you like spicy food, ask the chefs for spicier food and they will deliver! The kitchen and hotel staff were so accommodating, can't thank the team enough. Kanha is magical and so is this lodge, I would definitely stay here again if I were to revisit!

We thought we were at the wrong place as we chose the 3 star option, what a surprise! Large individual raised cottages with a balcony, very quiet at night. Lots of food for safari breakfast, and great buffet options for lunch and dinner. Try the cheese naan! A bit of a drive to Mukki Gate but lovely place.

From our arrival until our departure, three days later, we were treated exceptionally well by all the staff, especially the manager Saurabh Garg. Our stilted lodge was clean and tidy, and provided us with all our needs.The view from the balcony into the forested area was amazing and full of bird life, a treat in itself. The restaurant staff and food was of a very high standard. Saurabh was there after every safari to find out how everyone got on with their outing in the park . Following a medical issue Saurabh was there to ensure proper care was provided until the situation was resolved. We were extremely grateful for his help. We would be only too happy to return to this lodge if we are on Safari in this area. Thank you Khana Jungle Lodge 😍
