Oriel Hotel

Recently stayed at this hotel for a family get together, we stayed in the Elwy suite and were more than happy with the room for a very resonable £124 per night inc breakfast. As with other reviews, the hotel could do with a little TLC but this did not detract from our stay. All of the staff were extremely helpful and always on hand to provide assistance as needed. The faciliites including the pool and sauna provided a nice addition compared to other local "country" hotels. The food in the resturant offered a good choice of dishes and was reasonably priced. Breakfast was well presented and offered a good choice of cooked and continential options. All in all a good place to stay if you are looking for somewhere in the area.

Hotel seemed very dated and in need of TLC. Gave the atmosphere of things being skimped. No welcome pack,no attempt to promote offers of restaurant bar or facilities offered in Spa. Breakfast offer was a bit hit and miss and bar hours were flexible with out prior warning ie closing 10.30 pm. Staff in general were not very interactive. General standards of cleanliness left something to be desired.

We had our wedding at the Oriel Hotel in October 2023. Most of our guests stayed for two nights. Nothing was too much trouble for Jo, Tracy and the team. The food & drink was fantastic. We were treated like royalty throughout our stay - even at breakfast the next day, someone came to bring us our drinks and fix our breakfast plates. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary.
