Saint Aubin Logis Hôtel & Restaurant

We went to Normandy to see the Silhouettes of the servicemen and 2 Nurses who lost their lives on the first day of the landings on 6/6/1944. These were to be seen at the British Memorial in Luc-sur-Mer in Normandy. Nearby is the small town of St Aubin-sur-Mer and the Logis Hotel St Aubin which is situated across the road from the beach. Over the years we have stayed in many Logis hotels throughout France but none have been better than this one. The position is excellent, the facilities are good, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food superb. We will certainly go back there one day without any hesitation, and I recommend it to all readers of this article.

Lovely Hôtel overlooking the sea Our rooms were clean and offered us what we needed for our stay. Balcony was big and gave us extra space. The sunrise was spectacular We booked dinner at the hotel and we were not disappointed. Breakfast was equally as nice with plenty of choice. Freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat baguettes baked to your order. We didn’t book a parking spot but as my wife uses a stick they said use the disabled bay. Staff were very attentive and polite

A really cosy Hotel overlooking the sea, A very clean Hotel with a great restaurant, The Bedroom over looking the sea has a great view of the sunrise and you don't seem to get any traffic noise, Tea and coffee facilities included, a decent shower although the bathroom is compact, plenty of fresh towels, It could have done with a bedside table the same hight as the bed and I couldn't understand why there is a cabinet in the top corner of the bedroom, as in the photo, The food in the restaurant is of a high quality and a decent choice, They have an English print of the menu which I found a nice touch, Breakfast was layed out Continental style and a decent choice, A nice lounge are overlooking the sea and a Memorial to the D Day Landings, Vincent and Nicholas run a very good Hotel and must be proud of the staff they have, Alan

This modernist hotel sits squarely on the seafront facing one of the many D-Day memorials in the region. Parking is available and free. The welcome at the reception was warm and the staff could not have been more helpful. We did not have a room overlooking the sea but it was very comfortably appointed albeit a bit compact. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The public rooms are very well done. We had a really delicious dinner with some really nice (and modestly priced) wines. Breakfast was a buffet but you were strangely asked the night before what viennoisserie you wanted and this was brought to the table. None the less this was also one of the best breakfasts Highly recommended if you want a quiet town setting while still being near major D-Day sites

Superb choice for visiting the D Day beaches. Stayed here with my teenage son. Nice basic room but the highlight is the excellent location and restaurant. 3 courses for €39 offered excellent value and quality and all the staff were lovely and friendly with good English if struggling with your French and an English menu in the restaurant too ! Beware other hotels whose restaurants are shut on Monday nights. The restaurant here is open 7 days a week.

Wonderfully placed hotel, right on the seafront. The rooms are well sized and spotlessly clean, you even get a choice of a bath which is rare these days. There is private parking and a second world war gun emplacement right out front for all the war officianados. The little town is charming with lovely sandy beaches. The restaurant is excellent, particularly for those who like seafood. Breakfast is a buffet with a choice of fresh patisserie. The staff are friendly and professional. The manager deals with any enquiries immediately and is very welcoming.
