The White Hart

SUPERB SUNDAY ROAST!!!!! 👌 We have tried many places for Sunday roasts and I must say The White Hart tops the lot!!!! Tender meat, delicious tasty gravy with excellent cooked variety of vegetables oh and topped by a huge Yorkshire puds!!! It’s definitely a MUST to try!!!!!

We stopped here mid walk and decided to order food. The prawn cocktail and jacket potato with cheese and beans were excellent - not difficult to make by any standards but very tasty indeed and plenty of it! We were welcomed by the barmaid and the charming black cat!

Popped in on a wild and windy weekend - good to find pub busy and the lunch exceeded expectations and almost our appetites - yorkshire puddings to die for! Parking limited in the square but overflow area just up the road. Worth booking in advance even in January.

I visited the White Hart with family for an evening meal. Two of us had burgers which cost around £15 for the bun with 2 burgers and a small slice of cheese. The burgers themselves were disgusting. The "meat" was of very poor quality, and seemed to have been heated in water and not cooked under a grill or on a hotplate. They tasted horrible. I would have complained at the time but circumstances were such that it wasn't possible.

Booked here for dinner one evening while on holiday we were looked after by friendly staff were treated very well, had nice evening meal nothing was too much trouble, it was a mixture of food pub and drinking pub which is good to see and was very well supported

Had 2 nights B and B at the white hart. very comfortable ensuite room. very large bed.. has tea and coffee making facilities. only thing i can complain about is the TV is too small.. once in bed watching tv I couldnt read the guide as it was tiny, guess these days everyone is used to watching a large flat screen tv. We had the roast lunch on Sunday. and have to say it was the best Sunday lunch we have had in a pub. tender meats and lots of it.. crispy roast potatoes and lovely veg and gravy tasted amazing. and huge yorkshire pudding. will deffo be visiting again just for the roast dinner!!
