Hôtel Cartier

Great hotel, great location and even better staff! We have been to saint malo, maybe 10 times, always stayed at the Ibis hotel and liked it, but as we were booking a trip, 2 double rooms for 2 nights in may, to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday, the price was unreasonable high, so we started looking for an alternative. We knew of hotel Cartier, from passing, the price was good and we knew, we liked the location already, so ended up booking here. The hotel was refurbished a year ago, styling carried out by the beautiful furniture store across the road, very stylish, exactly like in the photos! We liked it here a lot, the team working here were all super nice, especially Valerie! My god this stylish woman always seemed to be at work, ready to assist and advise, also worth a mention is the kind and bobbly lady working in the breakfast area, sorry didn’t get her name, but together with Valerie, she made the place run like clockwork, yet keeping it smooth running and personal. My husband straight away wanted to stay here next time, I was sceptical of the price, but it turned out when looking up prices, pretty much always to be cheaper then Ibis, so better, more stylish, cheaper, bigger bathrooms and even nicer staff, means that Cartier from now on, is our preferred place to stay in this mind blowing city! Thanks team Cartier!

Loved staying here. Very small and minimalist but we didn’t expect more, given the location. Easy walk from nearest parking, and all the stunning sites of St Malo. Lovely friendly attentive staff. Surprisingly quiet when windows closed (had aircon). Would happily stay again.

Great greeting upon check-in by Gabrielle. He provided excellent restaurant suggestions as well. Elevator with space available for luggage, to access rooms. Rooms were clean w/air conditioning. Breakfast buffet was complete with options including eggs. Very convenient location inside walls of old city.
