Inn at Woodhaven-in the Heart of the Bourbon Trail-over 12 Distilleries Nearby

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Inn at Woodhaven on August 22 & 23, 2024. We very much enjoyed everything about our stay. The Inn is in a great location and is easy to get to in Louisville. A Rafferty's Restaurant was close by as well as lots of other options for lunch/Dinner. The Inn is 160+ years old and the architecture is absolutely beautiful and the home has been meticulously maintained. We especially loved the gorgeous doors, windows and the crown molding. We stayed in the Garden Room which was at the top of a beautiful staircase. Our room was huge and had all the comforts of home and all the modern conveniences you could want. We had the most fabulous tub for two. It was deep and we loved it. There is also a separate shower. The room was a big suite with a sitting area for two in the bedroom and the other room along with a refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, some snacks and even a few waters in the refrigerator. The queen bed was very comfortable and there were several pillows to choose from to find the perfect one for you. We also had a TV with Roku remote. The room has original huge and beautiful windows to make the room bright with natural light but they had full length curtains provided to keep out the early morning sun for dark sleeping which was fabulous. The AC worked great and their was a ceiling fan above the bed. The whole house is decorated beautifully while keeping with the time period of the home. They provided soft fluffy towels, hot tub robes and soaps. The Inn Keepers, Jeremy and Mark were wonderful. Jeremy gave a tour of the home and told about the history and was a very gracious host. Mark cooks the most delicious breakfasts and desserts ever. The Inn has a menu with quite a few options made to order. You could choose from Pancakes, French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy, Bacon and Sausage, Breakfast Casserole and more. I had the omelette made to order one day and eggs with sausage another day. Mark made a fresh Carmel apple cake that was the most delicious cake I had ever eaten. It was so awesome, and he is even going to share the recipe. He makes delicious pastries, muffins and desserts to complement your breakfast entree. They also had a variety of juices, fruit, yogurt, cereal options. Your breakfast Entree ( which you pick ) is nice large portions - so take your appetite. My husband and I have stayed in at least 25+ bed and breakfast Inn’s and the Inn at Woodhaven had some of the best breakfast and treats we have ever had. They also keep out jars of fresh baked cookies to snack on during your stay. We were to busy to get in the hot tub but maybe next time. Everything about the Inn is 5 star. We felt at home and pampered. Do not hesitate to stay here! Check in and out was super easy and Jeremy was great and easy to work with when booking, and will love Marks culinarily skills! Had been to the Inn 7 years ago and heard great things about the new Hosts of the Inn, so decided to go back. New hosts/owners of the Inn are wonderful. We were met at the front door, given a tour of the whole property and the history within the home. Marks homemade coffee cake and breakfast were excellent and Jeremy made sure we had everything we needed. These new owners have made many needed updates and touches to the Inn that were needed. What a wonderful experience and place to stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jeremy and Mark for sharing your home!

Greeting tour of the Inn and property was done and no details left out. Available by quick return text or in person for and questions or requests. beautiful decor, with modern color schemes with traditional features of the home maintained for it's era.Libations abound, many of them free of charge in the living room and private quarters. Breakfast is from a menu, selection each day with a collection of homemade pastries, breads and coffee cake. Every amenity is considered and provided. Hot tub, (very clean), robes and towels, a choice of pillows, accessory cooling for your individual comfort, beautiful grounds, bourbon flights and full bar available, and lots of good tips for things to see and do. Great prices. You will love ❤️ it.

All these 5/5 reviews for Inn at Woodhaven are NOT exaggerations. We stayed here for 5 nights and the hospitality was FLAWLESS from start to finish. Every detail has been attended to; the breakfast options are insanely better than any fine hotel, and they even iron the pillow cases!! This is unequivocally our go-to place to stay in Louisville. Upon arriving we were promptly greeted by Jeremy, and immediately started our tour of this beautiful property. We were both amazed by the history of this Bed & Breakfast. Once we were settled in, we headed back into the main house and spoke with Jeremy for advice for a local restaurant to try out. He directed us to a wonderful restaurant that was exactly what we needed after the drive down from Ohio. The breakfast menu had us intrigued as we didn't know what to try first. The breakfast menu that Mark prepares had our tastebuds dancing. We looked forward to each morning so we could try something different on the menu. We also made sure to try the freshly baked goods that were available each morning as they looked amazing and were so delicious. There is a "Not yet World Famous" Black Walnut Old Fashioned. Wait! How is this not WORLD FAMOUS? Jeremy has mastered this Old Fashioned, and it hits on many levels. I enjoyed it so much that I had to have them night after night. No detail was overlooked! You can truly tell that the owners Jeremy and Mark put their all into this property. They wholeheartedly made our visit one that we will never forget. Make sure to ask Jeremy for suggestions if you're looking to step out for lunch or dinner as he directed us to an amazing restaurant that we both truly. What should I rave about first? The breakfast that Mark prepared for us was amazing! Bourbon! They have a Bourbon list that is sure to please all that come and stay here. I was happy to try one that I have never had the opportunity to try and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Oh, and there are also "Custom Flights" and "Seasonal Specials" menus that are guaranteed to entice each and every guest to try something. Once again there was the "Not yet World Famous" Black Walnut Old Fashioned. Wait! How is this not WORLD FAMOUS? Jeremy has mastered this Old Fashioned, and it hits on many levels. Check-in to check-out couldn't have been better. Built in the 1850's, with tons of original hand-crafted architecture, this is a rare gem managed by amazing hosts. Attention to the little details (homemade cookies, breakfast made-to-order, bourbon tasting) throughout. We WILL be back...again...and again! FYI...If you get to eat out, you won't find a better dinner than at Mesh, which came highly recommended by the hosts. SUPERB!!!
