Greenhills Country Hotel

It was my first visit to Jersey and was so impressed by the island. The visit was made even more special by the stay at the hotel. The property is perfectly pitched, tasteful, quiet luxury with thoughtful, friendly and professional service from the team. Will definitely be back for leisure trip.

If I could rate this hotel 6 out of 5 stars I would ! We have just returned from a 4 night break in the Killiekrankie suite to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary combined with the renewal of our Wedding Vows at Mont Orgueil Castle and cannot praise the hotel enough Everything was perfect from the warm welcome on arrival to departure from the location and setting of the hotel, picturesque gardens, quality and cleanliness of the accommodation, the food and the hotels atmosphere to each and every staff member with a special mention for Adi who’s towel sculpture’s were brilliant If you are thinking of staying here and have any doubts , just book it as you will not be disappointed; ‘I just wish that we could bottle the feeling and hug this hotel gives you and take it everywhere with us’ highly recommended

Greenhills was a beautiful place to spend a few days in Jersey. Much more than that though, the staff were outstanding hosts. Each and everyone worked so hard to make our stay an enjoyable one. We couldn’t speak highly enough of them. Thank you. Add to that the food which was also really excellent, from thinking we may eat dinner once during our 4 night stay, after the first night, we ate there every night. Breakfast was cooked to order and also very good. The rooms were also comfortable and quiet. One very small criticism being the quality of shower, which could have been more powerful. However, that takes nothing away from the experience as a whole and we thoroughly look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Wow, what can we say. A truly memorable stay for 4 nights. We arrived early, staff were very friendly and approachable. (Apologies for forgetting names) But the lady that dealt with us on our arrival was most helpful. Allowing us to check in early. Bedroom was very nice (rm 24) Weather was glorious so room did get very warm. However a few fans were provided this did not affect our stay. Breakfast was wonderful cooked to perfection. Plenty of choices and the option just to have continental if this pleases. The option to sit outside for breakfast was nice too. All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly always smiling nothing seemed to much trouble. Garden's are stunning. Small swimming pool and loungers provided to relax. You would definitely require a car as hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport. However this is not really accessible on foot. However Bike hire was possible if you required them. Overall a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back. Hotel in idyllic location set in beautiful surroundings. Perfect base to explore the island. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. This is very much a rewrite of my review from our last visit to Greenhills, such is the consistent high standard of this welcoming and unique hotel. We first visited Greenhills in 2004 and some of the staff that were there then are still there now. This is always a good sign as happy, valued staff tend to stay and this is good for guests. The staff really gave the impression that they enjoyed working together and this creates a very harmonious, calm atmosphere in Greenhills which greatly enhances a guest's experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet and peaceful rural part of Jersey which adds to the ambience. The public rooms and bedrooms are beautifully decorated. Fresh modern touches blend with and respect the traditional features of a historic building. The bed was particularly comfortable and the hotel was very quiet overnight ensuring a good sleep. The standard of cleanliness of the bedroom, laundry and public areas was meticulous. The quality and variety of food was so exceptional that we chose to dine in every night. We alternated between the table d'hote and a la carte menus and were spoiled for choice. All courses were delicious and beautifully presented. The tempura prawns, lobster, beef Wellington and the hot chocolate dessert were special highlights. The breakfasts were wonderful with the homemade granola and lightly smoked haddock with poached egg being our favourites. On our first visit we hired a car at the airport, on our second and third visits we drove from Scotland and took the car over on the ferry from Poole. Despite having a car on the island we found ourselves taking the bus into St Helier as parking could be difficult. The last two times, we flew and took a taxi to the hotel but got around the island using the buses. Unfortunately the no 8 bus no longer makes a detour past the hotel. The no 8 stop is 700m away with 42m of ascent/decent. For two older, but ambulant, people it was an easy 15 minute walk. A 7 day unlimited travel bus pass with card is £35 and to recharge the card for future visits is £27.50. The hotel's west central location made it easy to access some stunning beaches using the buses. We swam at Plemont, Grev de Lecq, Ousaine, St Brelades, Portlet, and Beauport. Buses also allowed one way walks on quiet lanes between bus routes. Our flight home was in the evening. Greenhills have an arrangement with the Pomme d'Or hotel in St Helier to leave cases there after checking out on the last day. The Pomme d'Or is just across the road from the airport bus stance. This arrangement allowed us to make the most of our last day. Having had a really great time on Jersey and particularly at Greenhills Hotel, we are already planning our return.

Lovely hotel set in countryside in the middle of the island. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. We ate at the hotel on each of our three nights - twice a la carte and once from the bar menu and the food was excellent as were the breakfasts. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodated any requests. Thank you for looking after us to well - hope to be back!

This was our first visit here and it won’t be our last. Everything about the hotel was perfect. Excellent location, lovely clean and comfortable room and beautiful space outside, including small pool. Super friendly and helpful staff made us feel really welcome. Food fabulous, good range on offer including good breakfasts. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and well worth it.

Greenhills was recommended. It did not disappoint. The hotel was fantastic, staff attentive & the food was simply amazing. Pity it’s located in Jersey and not closer to home, as we’d certainly frequent it again for its menu. If you get a chance, do book.

The hotel and Resturant always live up to expectations. It’s one of the islands little secrets. Staff always helpful , welcoming and friendly . The individual Beef wellington is 10/10. Oh and a good selection of non-alcoholic wines and beers for those driving
