Courtyard St. Petersburg Downtown

Stayed at this Courtyard for a quick weekend trip to St. Pete. The hotel is a historic building. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although it was an older building the hotel seems to have been recently updated. The rooms were a little on the small side for a Courtyard, but very nice. The location is close to the downtown and Pier area. 15 to 20 min drive to the beach depending on the beach. Very centrally located. My only issue was the amount to park ($37 a night).The valet staff was nice and professional.

Had to fly in to the area to help our daughter and her family after the recent hurricanes. We only needed a hotel for one night but boy did we need one! Checked in around 8:00 p.m. and from when we stopped at the valet stand to when we finally checked out, the staff was awesome. Just polite,professional and personable. The room was great also. With my Titanium status, we were offered a room upgrade which we took. The room was clean, comfortable and had a nice bathroom for much needed showers after working at our daughter’s house all day after being flooded. The hotel had just had the power turned on the day before so there were fans located throughout but this was completely understandable and expected. If I had to find a negative it would be mandatory valet parking. Believe this is due to limited parking in the area and only a negative because we forgot a couple of things in our vehicle. One of the nicest Courtyard stays I’ve had and definitely the best staff

This customer service is very sub par and it feels like they intentionally neglect to mention the valet fee of $35 per vehicle to park at the hotel, we have two vehicles. We called prior to making our reservation to ask about security deposits and additional fees and spoke with Brandy, who stated that she was the manager. She explained that there was a deposit fee but never mentioned that valet parking was the only option for the hotel. When we arrived we could not find the hotel parking, besides valet, so we called again and that is when Brandy stated that valet parking is the only option at the hotel. She asked her why she did not just state that the FIRST time we called and she very condescendingly stated “it’s downtown, you’re going to pay for parking most places”. She further explained additional parking options. Only one of the options would be without cost but only for 2 hours between a particular time frame. This experience was very frustrating because we both travel often for work and pleasure, and are from Atlanta, so we are very aware of parking fees in downtown areas and downtown hotels. It is the blatant withholding of the parking cost when asked initially about additional fees that is so frustrating and such a disappointment, because we were very excited to explore the area while we are here visiting.

Not to thrilled about this place. Parking is only valet unless you park in the back with sketchy pay via an App. You can walk to some eateries but not very convenient. Rooms are small and hallways are tight. Staff was nice but couldnt handle some charges when you want to pay cash for store items. They still billed the room?!?! The bar and bistro was heh....breakfast options were weak. Overall not the best but if the hotel is near somewhere you need to be it will do.

My king sized was so comfortable! And the Pride atmosphere downtown is a GO-To! Overnight valet girl is so nice and considerate with timing! Thanks again Liliy! Cons- roaches outside of building around the plants scared the hell out of me, pool closes at 10.

We booked rooms at this hotel for a wedding in St Pete. It was under renovations when booked but they were very helpful then, and even more during our weekend event. The staff is just outstanding, never saying no to any request, and always smiling and being so pleasant to deal with. Renews my faith in Marriott! Will be back to this hotel for sure!

Malachi and Justin provided exceptional valet service! Their friendly conversations and assistance with my parents' bags made our experience truly memorable. Highly recommended for their caring and attentive approach! Will come back.

When we arrived, there was no entrance road, though this is probably to be expected for a hotel in a city. Instead, we pulled up to the side of the street in front of the main door. We saw some No Parking signs, so my wife waited in the car while I checked in. I asked about parking and the guy was like, wherever you can find it. I already took a quick look and the area around the hotel is marked with "2 hour only" signs, so that wasn't helpful. He said they have valet parking for $35 for 24 hours and you can come and go as often as you like. Since we were only there for one night and since we didn't feel like searching for a space, we took the valet parking. I suppose this is what happens in a city hotel also, but I would have expected the hotel staff to recommend a nearby parking garage or lot. The hotel itself seems old, but like it's been renovated, so everything is clean. Though the elevator seemed very slow. The room was spacious and we had a view of the street and nearby Arts & Crafts Museum. (The hotel is a few blocks from the beach, so don't expect a water view.) The room also had a mini-fridge, which was a good bonus. We watched TV for a little while and noticed they don't get any local channels: no ABC, CBS, NBC, or Fox. So we couldn't watch the local news. And I don't remember if they had CNN or Fox News to watch regular news. But overall, this hotel was a reasonable price and it was conveniently located to our activities.

Recently had a great experience at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown St. Pete. The historic building definitely adds a unique charm to the hotel, the rooms are lovely and provide a comfortable stay. But what really sets this place apart is the wonderful staff and the exceptional valet team, including Ashlynn and Megan. Their friendly and helpful service truly enhances the overall experience!
