Staybridge Suites ST. Petersburg Downtown

My friends and I appreciated the closeness of attractions and the hotels free breakfast, however, the rooms are in need of some... touching up? Lots of dust, sofa bed sheets were unable to be opened, and there was an odd stain in one of the drinking glasses.

The property is in need of renovation, mostly the indoors. The furniture was worn and looks like it came from IKEA. The soap at the sink in the bathroom was through a dispenser, which was empty. The mattress on both beds were stiff and did not give an inch. After the first nights sleep, I hurt everywhere. My husband and I had to go to Walmart the next day and purchase a 3" memory foam pad. It did the trick, but we spent $68 just so I could sleep. We are seasoned travelers and this was by far the worst mattress I experienced. The property had no ice machines, also a first. My husband had to go to the front desk and talked to a house keeper who went in the back and filled a pitcher. It is a good location if traveling to see a baseball game as it is a short walk from Tropicana Field. The only hotel in the area with that convenience. One other nice amenity was hors d'oevres and free beer and wine Monday-Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 PM. I did not utilize the free breakfast, but my husband did. He did say there was quite a bit to choose from.

Employee Ash Soto. Her bright smile lit up my day after a long horrific day of work. I usually don’t do reviews, but her bosses need to thank her for being such a great employee. Thank you Miss Soto, you brought sunshine into a bleak day. I will enjoy another stay there anytime!!!!!

We came after Hurricane Helene and we’re here for Milton and after. The staff is wonderful and tried their best. Annetta May was wonderful to us! Princess with the Front office was also. They went above expectations! Even with adverse weather and disaster all around us they worked hard and had a smile!

The hotel like at home. We are feel very comfortable, safe Any revues we have it is resolve soon. My best compliment is I’m happy to can enjoying the time with my pets. The food is excellent. The service like a laundry, gym, pool clean. The attention from the workers and administration is excellent

I Absolutely Love Tracy(kitchen staff) He is Always So Helpful w a Smile on His Face! I Enjoyed Going for BREAKFAST Every Morning just to Talk to him!! He was SUPER Great&Kept it together when Hurricane Milton came through Florida & the Hotel lost Power thru out the Night!! HE DESERVES A RAISE 🤑

The rooms are large and clean. It was great having a large refrigerator and kitchen area. Princess, the front desk person was extremely helpful. This has been a very trying time in St Petersburg but having such a nice place to stay really helped. Everybody was very nice.

We stayed here after losing our house in Hurricane Helene. Princess, at the front desk, went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, made us laugh when we were down, and ALWAYS had a smile on her face. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, great breakfast in the lobby. Definitely recommend staying here!
