We stayed there for three nights in March and it was very quiet. There were some roadworks outside the hotel but it wasn’t a problem. The rooms are all set around an attractive courtyard and the owners are really friendly and helpful and speak good English. It is well worth booking directly through their website to get the best prices and you can arrange transfers to and from the airport at the same time too. I would also recommend eating at their restaurant. The food was fantastic - some of the best we had in Colombia. They can also make hikers lunches for you to take away when walking the Cócora loop. At the Hummingbird reserve, about half way round, there are facilities where you can eat packed lunches. All in all, I would recommend BetaHotel as a great choice of place to stay in Salento.

We stayed at Betatown Salento for 4 nights right before Christmas. It's a family run hotel and the family is simply amazing. The rooms are very spacious. The restaurant also serves up some of the best food in Salento. My kids loved the soccer field adjacent to the restaurant. It's just a few minutes walk from the main square which we loved because it was so quiet to sleep. They arrange rides from the airports and they also set up tours around the area. Highly recommend and we will for sure book again when we go to Salento.

My stay at Beta Town was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of beautiful surroundings , delicious meals and outstanding service made it a memorable experience. I recently stayed at Betatown in Salento, Colombia, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel was comfortable and beautiful. It felt like home The food was fresh and delicious. Salento Colombia was a beautiful place. The Beta Hotel family took care of everything. So grateful to have had a chance to see and experienced this country.

You will not find a better place to stay in the world. The owner, his family and staff are absolutely incredible. They are so hospitable, kind, welcoming and if you have any requests or issues, they will fulfill it. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, the look and feel of the hotel and restaurant are such a vibe, and the service cannot be beat. My experience here was unforgettable and I will definitely be returning to stay again!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is clean and beautifully decorated. Love the courtyard and colors chosen to decorate the hotel. Conveniently located to restaurant right across the street run my same family who owns the hotel. Same excellent service and quality as the hotel.

Quiet ,new, well located, nicely decorated in Salento style with a charming patio. Excellent service. Room is very comfortable, clean. Breakfast is served generously. Very good quality for an affordable price. Jeeps to Cocora and Filandia are in the same carrera 3. Bus terminal is close by . Plenty of restaurants . The hotel has its own restaurant.

PROS: Great location. Quiet at night. Helpful and friendly hotel staff. CONS: It was a bit hot for us as there was no AC, but hard to find a hotel in Salento with AC. The only “window” we could open would open to the courtyard so no privacy and light came in the room from the courtyard until about 10:40 pm (that’s when they manually turn it off). Breakfast was ok. A bit monotonous after the third day (eggs and bread with a bit of fruit). Why don’t hotels in Colombia offer more fruit?
