Hotel Best Sol d´or

Overall this hotel is very good, the hotel itself is very modern and very clean throughout. The pool is a good size and there is plenty of sun loungers. On the first few days small inflatables were allowed in the pool, however 2 days before we left there was some different life guards (2 females) who refused to allow anyone to have any floaties of any kind, even babies, which we thought was ridiculous as everyone had been allowed them by the other life guards. They were also very miserable and constantly blowing the whistle at people for every little thing, even though all the other life guards were brilliant, these 2 alone would put us off coming back to this hotel- there was really no need for them to be so strict especially when all the other life guards had allowed everything. The food was good, different variety of foods including themed nights- Chinese, Mediterranean etc. there is always pizza and chips every day so if you’re a fussy eater like us it’s brilliant because you always go in there knowing there is something you will eat. We had no issues with meats being undercooked- everything seemed to be cooked well. The guy who did the entertainment was brilliant, very loud and engaging, the other 2 women were okay however we found them a bit boring as they weren’t as loud and energetic as he was- they were a lot quieter. The entertainment is all in Spanish other than the odd few words they translate to English- I think the hotel could improve on making more of the entertainment in English as some kids were trying to join in but couldn’t as they didn’t understand what was going on. There were some good shows on while we were there. All in all a brilliant hotel and a brilliant holiday.

Visited with family last week ( July 2025 ). There was two adults and two teenagers. Good points Food was exceptional Staff were nice Not so good points Room was only small for 4 people Balcony only fitted 2 people Pool got incredibly busy Building work along the beach It's a 15 min bus ride into salou so not walkable It was an OK holiday but not amazing....

Positives: Lovely hotel and location, close to beach which is lovely, no pebbles and sea is shallow and calm. Pool area is great for kids but gets very busy and doesn’t open until 10am. Pools are lovely and warm as well apart from the kids slide pool which was very cold in the morning but got warmer through the day. Room was lovely and had a fridge (no kettle) Can’t comment on food as we could only get room only and couldn’t even pay to eat in restaurant as always full, that was a let down to the holiday. Taxi to Salou is €11 and well worth it for the day. Negatives: this hotel only caters for Spanish for the entertainment and also it doesn’t start while 10pm and goes onto midnight which makes it very noisy if you have a pool room. Bar service is not the best, very slow and not many staff serving. However this was a cheapish holiday and served the purpose for 4 days

Our family of six had an absolutely incredible time at Hotel Best Sol d’Or. First Impressions and Location Located in La Pineda on Spain’s Costa Dorada, the hotel is just a short walk from Cala Font Beach and close to family favourites like Aquopolis Costa Dorada and PortAventura World. The area is ideal for families looking to combine sun, sea, and adventure. Facilities and Pool Scene The hotel offers a seasonal outdoor pool and a children’s pool with slides, which our kids loved. The poolside atmosphere was relaxed and fun, with loungers, shaded areas, and a well-stocked bar. It was the perfect setting to unwind while the children played. All Inclusive Dining and Bar The all inclusive option was great value. The buffet restaurant had a wide variety of dishes and there was always something for everyone. Drinks were available throughout the day and the service was consistently friendly and efficient. Entertainment and Kids Club The entertainment team put on lovely shows and kept the energy up throughout our stay. The kids club was a fantastic break from the heat and gave the children a chance to play, rest, and make new friends. It also gave us adults some time to enjoy the poolside calm. Rooms and Cleanliness Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job each day and the air conditioning made sleeping easy after busy days in the sun. We will be forever grateful. Would We Return? Absolutely. We loved every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. All was OK. I liked service. The hotel restaurant was great. Dishes were dilicious. My child liked the pool. Our room was camfortable and big.

Comfortable hotel. Close to the sea and a beautiful beach. Delicious and varied food. Friendly staff, very helpful with advice.
