Kkala Boutique Hotel

I have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime, but this one takes the cake. It’s nestled in a quiet neighborhood and each room is charming, rustic, and yet beautifully done in Argentinian style. Not to mentioned the breakfast is the best around and having a pool to use with poolside service if you want it. But I think the thing that really stands out about this hotel are the people. The staff are absolutely incredible and go above and beyond to make your experience special. To give you a window into what I mean by this.. my husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and got very ill with food poisoning, so sick in fact that I needed hospitalization for IV fluids. The staff helped us get medical care, translate the medical care from Spanish to English and vice versus when needed, and then made sure our room was clean and ready for us when we got back. I just can’t recommend this hotel enough for all the reasons. It truly is a gem in Salta and we will be going back and telling everyone about it when they go there. Lovely hotel in a nice neighborhood of Salta. Staff friendly. Breakfast sufficient. Our Tok Was Salinas on third floor. Bed comfortable. Room spacious. Bathroom good. Has wash cloths, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion. Would recommend in Salta.

This is a gorgeous little hotel on the outskirts of Salta, with a charm and gentle atmosphere that surpassed expectations. The first point to make is to not be concerned about the 'distance' from the city centre. As a direct walk it's only about a mile and a half, and because of the very favourable exchange rate, a taxi cost us only about £1.20. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within just a short walk too, so you don't even need to go down town if you don't want to. The highlight of our stay was the intangible... but oh so important... attitude of the reception staff. Without exception all were amazingly friendly, and always wanted to find out what they could to do in order to enhance our experience - about 180 degrees opposite of the sort of hotel staff who make you believe they're annoyed as you've arrival at the desk has damaged their ability to complete admin! Sorted taxis for us (which always arrived quickly), arranged a table for us at the pena 'La Vieja Estacion' at very short notice (which is subject to another review) and helped us sort a day trip to Humahuaca. Basically, always really nice and massively helpful. Their ability to speak excellent English made life very easy too. We stayed in the large room on the top floor, which has a jacuzzi, sitting room type area, with the bed and a second toilet on a mezzanine type level up some stairs over the 'ground floor' area. The room also has a small balcony with views over the city. Very nice, and I'm sure is commented on elsewhere. Our one regret is that we kept ourselves so busy during our stay in Salta that we never actually stayed around the hotel for very long when we were awake. Hindsight being the exact science it is, we really could have stayed an extra day so we had some time to hang around the little pool, chill out on the balcony with a glass of wine, and generally recharge the batteries on what was a full and busy tour of Argentina.

We stayed here unfortunately only 1 night but would have loved to stay longer. As opposed to many hotels that call themselves a boutique hotel, this really is a boutique hotel. An old mansion converted to a hotel. Luxurious, great staff, and the pool and patio area are really amazing. Rooms spacious and tastefully decorated. It is in a residential area at comfortable walking distance of the centre and a very clean and safe neighborhood. Strongly recommend to stay here

THE best boutique hotel in Salta. (If you like to stay near Salta city center, then check Legado Mitico) Little bit away from the city center, nice neighborhood and very quiet. Pretty much everything was just perfect and better than our expectation. Probably, no most likely the best hotel in Salta. Really no complaints...

Fabulous hotel. Intimate, cosy and a calm haven from the hustle and bustle of town. Great breakfast, comfy beds and very helpful, friendly staff. A few restaurants within walking distance. Taxi required to go downtown but at a very reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again.

This boutique hotel is located 30 minutes walk or a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of Salta. We stayed in a split level suite with a king sized bed upstairs and a double sofa bed downstairs. Our room had a jacuzzi hot tub and a balcony with superb views over the city. Luxury toiletries, bath robes and slippers, coffee and chocolates came with the room. KKala was an absolute gem. The property was gorgeous, with interesting architecture and lush local textiles. A small but delicious breakfast was included, and snacks such as homemade empanadas available on order. The pool area was a lovely place to relax. The reception staff were very welcoming and warm, and spoke perfect English. We wished we could have stayed longer!

We first stay to the Sheraton then move to the KKALU What a smart move.. no comparaison Room ,Service , breakfast the comfort , the deco and an so much more We love it so much that we did a loop visiting the North and returned to it for one more night Got an even nicer room on the second stay Only good words about the personel They made our stay so easier Just … thank you Thk to Eugenia,Grisel and Marcos You made our vacation better

This is the perfect choice for those looking to stay a bit outside the city center, but still extremely well located in a beautiful neighborhood with expansive views of the city. You’ll feel as though you’ve walked into an art gallery as the decor is filled with beautiful indigenous folk art and furnishings. We’ve been traveling through Argentina for weeks now and this has been our favorite hotel- by far! If you have a chance to stay in the suite, it’s worth the splurge as you’ll have unobstructed city views and a large living area with a separate floor with the bedroom. The staff were all lovely, but Julietta was AMAZING! She went out of her way to make our stay special.
