Villa Vicuña Salta Hotel Boutique

We stayed at Villa Vicuna for 3 nights in September and loved our stay. The hotel is extremely well located, only a 5 minute walk from the main square. The staff were wonderful and the receptionist staff spoke fantastic English. Our room was ready on arrival even though we arrived earlier than the stated check in time. Our room was lovely; very comfortable bed, great shower, safe, air con (if needed). It was also extremely quiet after coming from BA. Couldn’t fault it. The hotel style was very colonial with a lovely outdoor seating area and pool although it wasn’t warm enough for us to use it. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of fruit, toast, yogurt, pastries and then a menu for something cooked. The coffee was particularly good. We absolutely loved Salta. We heard no one speaking English the whole time we were there which we loved as we really immersed ourselves in the city. Places we ate which were particularly good were La Salteneria (fantastic empanadas and provoleta cheese) and El Meson (found in the Alejandro hotel). We hope to return in future and would certainly stay at Villa Vicuna again.

Hotel is in a central location, beautiful decor, serene gardens and a superb hotel cat who is very friendly. . Very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. Staff very helpful organising early morning taxi to airport. Wish I had an extra night to stay

Stayed in Salta for 3 nights at Villa Vicuna. Staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged a packed lunch for one day as we had to be up at 5am for a trip. Our room was on the ground floor and was perfect for our need on the trip. The hotel is located so you can walk and explore the town and near some nice restaurants and shops for supplies. The hotel has lots of charm in its decor and quirky design pieces. Breakfast was impressive and you can order 1 dish from a menu then help yourself to pastries. We had panckes and/or the greek yoghurt and fruit, both were great. If staying in Salta would highly recommend

We booked two rooms during our family vacation and upon staying there realized that they have bo daylight and the “windows” are towards the indoor corridor. As there was no way to understand that when booking we felt like having bought a mice vacation and being placed in a basement. In addition the bar advertised was out of order (not serving any drinks) and the pool not filled with water. Our bathroom was in desperate need for maintenance. For sure we will look for a place that sticks to the promise when we go back to salta and will stay far away from Villa Vicuña.

I stayed in Salta on diferent ocations at different hotels, Villa Vicuña is by far the best located, walking distance to the main plaza in a good street, great price, very well decorated french stile and every one is courteous and serviceable.

Very nicely located close to the city center. Very, very nice staff, at the reception, at breakfast and when cleaning the room. You really feel welcome. The rooms are not huge, (approx. 25-30 sq m I guess) but the bed is large and very good. So is the bathroom, with a large shower and enough space. The "simple" room only have light through the inner corridor. You may therefore prefer the two "luxury" rooms on the first floor, overlooking the inner-garden, where you will have day-light. Breakfast is spectacular and really incredible for this type of hotel.
