DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Saltillo

The hotel is clean with all necessary accommodations. The free breakfast in the morning is great and for those that can't stick around, they pre-make to-go bags with bottle of water, sandwich, fruit and a snack bar. There is a free happy hour from 6 - 7:30 pm during the week, free wi-fi and a gym equipped with tread mills, elipticals, bikes, free weights and cable machines. Also, there is an indoor pool. Can't beat the friendly service and helpful staff. They also have a shuttle service that will take you to and from your destination.

This hotel has everything an Out of Towner needs. The front desk attendants speak fluent English and are very welcoming. The room I stayed in was large, clean and comfy. There are many TV channels but few in English. WiFi worked well. The shower produces plenty of hot water, just not in the first 5 minutes. Safety was not a concern as the entire facility is fenced in and there are guards at the entrance. Breakfast in the lobby is very good with many hot buffet style choices and fresh fruit and yogurt. Happy hour at the American Sports Facility behind the hotel is nice with free beverages and snacks. They are currently revamping the patio but when it is done it will be a comfy outdoor relax spot with a charcoal grill for public use. The indoor pool looks nice although I didn't use it. Laundry facility on the second floor is clean and useful. There are a lot of well lit parking spots and a number of restaurants that can safely be walked to and from. If you must travel to Saltillo for work this is an ideal spot to stay.

The room was great. A triple room with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a common parlor. A little more attention to detail would go a long way. There was a long hair in the shower when we arrived, the elevator walls needed some cleaning. Particular attention is needed for the music in the lobby. When we arrived there was reggaeton playing and I found it in very poor taste. Other than that the location is great, the breakfast service was very good too and, again, the room was just great and the price very reasonable.

This is a business hotel, and by that I mean the rooms are small, the AC is a minisplit and the decoration very simple. But it has a lot of pros. Our bed was a comfortable king size. The tv is also small and so is the bathroom, but it includes a tub. The standard room includes a kitchenette with a mini bar, a microwave, a sink and a few dishes. At the lobby, you can find a very pro coffee machine and cups to go. Breakfast is usually included and if offers good choices, particularly on Sunday. The gym is small but with new equipment and there´s also an indoor swimming pool. The backyard offers lounges and grills.

Nos hospedamos una noche en este hotel que por su solo nombre es garantía de calidad y fue una terrible decepción. De entrada no había ningún canal de televisión porque lo estaban arreglando y "en una hora quedaba", hasta el día siguiente volvió a funcionar. Te dejan listo todo el equipo para hacer café, pero en la cocineta solo hay una cuchara sucia para revolverlo, pedir una (o cualquier utensilio de cocina) fue toda una odisea ya que la tienen que traer de uno de sus restaurantes y desde luego tarda lo mismo que tarda un café en enfriarse. Yo no pienso volver a quedarme en ese hotel.

Nos hospedamos en una suite triple con cocineta, y solo entrar a la suite tenia un olor fatal, a caño o ácido, abrimos ventanas para ventilarlo y comenzamos a acomodarnos, como llevábamos una bebe, movimos la cama hacia la pared y oh sorpresa, una cantidad de basura y comida bajo la cama que delata que no aspiran abajo de las camas ni por error. Llamamos a recepción y nunca contestaron, tuvimos que bajar para reclamar y nos dice la chica que estaba ahí, disculpe es que estoy sola en este turno, ni siquiera hay maletero, o sea cambien uds todo. Finalmente nos cambiaron de habitación pero el mal trago ya había pasado. No volveremos a este hotel definitivo.
