A good place to stay in Salzburg

This was an excellent hotel choice. Although it looks basic from outside and the reception is small the hotel offered an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable. The location is about 20 minutes by bus to the city centre but the stop is right outside the hotel and frequent. You don’t need to change buses to get where you want. Only 10 minutes to the airport as well. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise - limited compared to some larger places but very fresh and great quality. Given free drinks voucher on arrival - a lovely touch! Outstanding views from the balcony of the mountains.

Nice hotel just 20 minutes bus ride (bus stop just outside hotel) to the centre of Salzburg. Clean and quiet with a beautiful terrace breakfast and bar area. Manager and staff are friendly and go the extra mile to help. I lost my phone and they did everything to assist me in finding the phone.

Two really large beds and all the facilities needed. The center of Salzburg is over a 3km walk, but I enjoyed walking each day. The room has a small balcony, but not the useful in the middle of winter. The office was really helpful in organising days out

Nice hotel with good amenities for its price Away from the city center but in a nice area with lots of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance I would recommend for families on a budget and professional trips Prices are reasonable

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - comfortable beds, extremely clean room with everything you could possibly want - a safe, tea and coffee, a fridge, a place to put the suitcases, plenty of wardrobe space, a desk, water and fruit, immaculate WC and seperate bathroom, even a shoe horn. We also had a picturesque balcony. The staff were friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. The location was great, direct bus links to the centre and also to the airport. Luggage lockers are also avaislble to enable you to leave cases. There's a lift and wider doors provide good accessibility. The hotel is newly decorated and offer a clean, modern, comfortable respite - highly recommended. Across the road is a very nice bakery and to the right of the florist shop opposite the hotel is a footpath over a little brook to an authentic Austrian restaurant where the traditional food and beers served are outstanding and very reasonable. This hotel is perfectly located to enjoy this and many other Maxglan eateries. The hotel also has scenic views of the mountains.

This was a gem of a hotel. Beds very comfortable, room very clean, the reception staff were extremely helpful, the room included a fridge which was great as the weather was very warm. Our room was a basic one - others looked to have balconies. While not in the city centre the transport links were good. You can buy day tickets from reception and get the no 1 bus from outside the hotel. The bakery opposite is good and there are a couple of decent places to eat nearby. I would recommend

Our company housed ten different student travel groups at the Max 70. The rooms were very nice as was breakfast. The staff, managed by Visar was extremely helpful and pleasant. Really a great experience for me as a tour coordinator and I recommend the Max 70 very highly.
