Casa de Diaz is a grand old mansion with beautifully kept grounds. I was walking the Camino and although it was a lovely walk there, it was a bit out of the way. No dinner is offered except a 6 Euro sandwich which they mention on their website and there is no kettle in the room (which is fairly normal in Spain). There are restaurants locally that are too far away to walk to. I was the only guest and I didn't feel comfortable there. The breakfast was generous with lots to choose from. It is more suited to guests who have a car than to pilgrims.

I spent ine night at this place. It is a fairly large house located 2 km or so from the road Sarria-Samos and about 4 km from the latter, one of the main stop points of the St James Way. A very quiet place, with nice gardens and a good swimming pool. The interior transpires authenticity without falling to the decadent side. Nice, clean room and a good breakfast. A most commendable place
