Palace Hotel & Spa Termas do Bicanho

Not recommend this, in the description when I've booked it says that the hotel includes an indoor pool, but when I arrived they request an extra payment of 13€ for 40 minutes of a very small water tank. So if you want to just take a dive or quick swim you are unable. The hotel it's very isolated also, no gardens and decorations are absent. Rooms are ok, but don't reflect at all the 4 star.

Not at all as advertised. It might have been a 4star hotel 40years ago but without any reinvestment, it doesn't come close any more. Shockingly bad manner of management - something resembling Faulty Towers chaos, but without the humour. Having read other reviews complaining about the same things, to many years back, it's a shame they dont improve/change the things repeatedly lamented by customers. The air conditioning was fixed at 16°C or not at all. When I asked the staff to correct this, they said they would but didnt (apparently it was controlled from reception, and the staff didn't know how). The next morning when I mentioned it again, the manager got argumentative and defensive and tried to blame me for asking the person on duty in the evening at 10pm who didn't know how to adjust the AC control panel from reception. Both managers came across as rude and unprofessional, criticising their staff in front of us as guests which I thought very unprofessional and not fair on the staff (who are all clearly downtrodden and likely doing the best they can with horrible resources). The breakfast was very chaotic, with a lack of bowls and plates, insufficient seating - we cleared a table for ourselves to sit down and had breakfast cereal out of a cup. The coffee was on dispenser and the juice was artificial, a sugar drink. The bedroom was in a shabby state with the curtain completely ripped through - when I showed a photo to the manager she exclaimed (and a staff member told me they lost their maintenance staff a while back and were looking for replacements) but didn't offer a single apology once. The telephone in our room didn't ring to reception. The walls throughout the interior need painting. A hand drier and the shower head in our bathroom was hanging off the wall. A fire extinguisher has been ripped out of one wall leaving a hole. Seems like there never was an investment in the upkeep of this place, or a refresh. Pool which is very misleadingly advertised costs 13euro per person for 45mins. Check in took a ridiculous amount of time; fridge empty; shower not maintained or cleaned well

Very bad hotel, they don't like customers, they limit they're pool to 45 min and charge 13€ for that, the pool it's more a very small water tank. The 4 star it's obviously wrong classification for an isolated building under decorated and without a garden. Rooms lack a good large TV or even a garnished minibar.Even breakfast it's not a must although it's reasonable.

Have you ever been a guest in hotel without HOT water in the shower? it has been already 3 days that i don't have HOT shower. Just warm. Unfortunately, i paid in advance and need to stay in the hotel. The reception staff is very nice but most of them don't speak English. The cleaning is good. beautiful location, but far from everything and also very unpleasant to drive around during the dark hours.

I stayed for six nights there and I am very satisfied.The rooms are spacious and very clean.The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a large shower.A negative point is that there was a problem with the heating system in my room and it didn’t work.The breakfast every day was fresh and tasty and there was a large variety of food.To sum up this hotel is ideal if you want to stay for many nights.Even it is far from Soure I think that you will like the peacefulness as there isn’t too much notice

Un hôtel de qualité, même si les chambres restent peu personnalisées. Le dîner était de bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner en revanche est médiocre. Pas de machine à café, et des mets de basse qualité même si les propositions sont nombreuses. Il vaudrait mieux moins de choses et de meilleure qualité ! Toutefois, le personnel est attentif et sympathique.

Bom atendimento, bons quartos e banheiro moderno, sempre preocupados se estava tudo bem, boa comida tanto bufet e serviço a lista , bom spa e piscina de tratamento, bom para relaxar e descansar, e bom preço /oferta, serviço impecável, simpáticos,

Cheguei ao hotel as 21:05 depois de um dia cansativo e o recepcionista não tinha conhecimento da minha reserva, após buscar achou a reserva e me deu a chave do quarto 142, informou que o restaurante ja estava encerrado e que o acesso a piscina era 13€, um absurdo! Ao chegar no corredor havia vários quartos sendo limpos achei estranho uma vez que normalmente em outros hotéis os quartos são arrumados durante o dia, mas enfim fui ao quarto, ao chegar lá a porta estava aberta o quarto não estava arrumado, um absurdo! as 21:15 eles me dão a chave de um quarto que não estava pronto. Desci para solicitar um novo quarto, pois estava muito cansado e com fome, eles o recepcionista e a gerente me disseram que eu tinha duas opções ou eu entenderia e esperaria ou eles cancelaria a reserva, uma falta de respeito com o cliente. Informei que iria esperar uma vez que já estava tarde e havia conduzido mais de 1 hora até lá, mas que iria fazer reclamação, pois nunca estive em um hotel 4 estrelas que não respeitava o cliente. Após espera para arrumar o quarto fui pegar algo no frigorífico para comer e estava vazio. Concluindo NÃO ESCOLHA ESSE HOTEL.

Hotel simple, aucune compétence du personnel qui n'a pas les moyens de bien faire ...manque de verres à bière Dans ce genre d'établissement on ne peut pas servir avec des verres en plastique. Manque petits salon sur la terrasse...décoration insignifiante. Toutefois le personnel est sympathique et fait ce qu'il peut avec le peu de moyens
