My San Angelo visit made me decide on Home2Suites, and this Hilton brand is an exciting one. I loved the building's exterior. This hotel really does fit the bill, even though my visit had a rocky beginning. Had to get keys juiced up when one of the managers had to be summoned to assist the one lady on duty when the computer systems were temporarily on the blink. The tough experience almost cost me my one chance to visit an important tourist attractions, but the service team regrouped in a hurry. My first room had the key did not work, and we thought the problem on the door was with the sensor, but we later found that the room key had the wrong number entered in the entire time after many futile attempts to get a green light. The manager and rep finally gave me another room and a new set of keys (which did work this time), but it ended up being a blessing. My new room was better than my first one, and it had a much better view of the area. The remainder of my four-day visit had gone very well after the resolution. Very good room with a comfy bed and great pillows. The walk-in shower was absolutely a joy to use, with three different spritz pressure functions. As for the television set, it's a good one, but with limited DirecTV options, so you only get about 45 channels. They could use a good cable package that can be better. The room was also spacious enough to move around in, which was important. It was practically a mini-suite, as it included a large refrigerator which had more than enough room to put beverages in. And if anyone wonders, yes, the toilet in this room worked very well the whole time. In addition, the exercise room was very good and had a very functional stationary bike. I especially enjoyed the lobby, what with its modern design and bright colors. The location is the best in San Angelo, right in a cluster of multiple hotels next to U.S. Highway 67 and near Sherwood Way. Nothing is far away if you're looking for a good restaurant. The parking area gets rave reviews, as there are plentiful spaces well-arranged near the lobby area. This hotel could use bigger, wider dollies to transport luggage, however, but for the visit, it's not a total loss. Hopefully when you visit San Angelo, go ahead and give Home2Suites a try. The staff I've interacted with is friendly, especially the one lady who checked me out, but let's not forget the two ladies who tried to check me in and ended up solving a huge problem. Very nice. Drop on in!
