If you surf or want to learn to surf, this is a great place to stay. Joe gives lessons every day and provides the boards, wetsuits, and transportation to the beach, so you just need to show up. If you want to go to the local beach to swim, it's about 20 minutes walking distance from the hostel. Lots of restaurants and everything else you need is nearby. Riptide is a really nice place, and I can't wait to return. It's the people that make this hostel so welcoming. Joe and Kenai are the best!

One of the best hostels I’ve been to, Joe and his mother are very kind hearted and generous. The hostel is very laid back surfer vibes ,which kinda represents Jose. 🤙🏽 For leaning how to surf ,Joe had multiple boards to pick from base on your experience. Also 10/10 on his music to and from the beach. If you’re looking for something more chill this place is it .
