My 18-year old daughter and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting San Juan. It was a great location - just a block from a nice beach (literally a 90-second walk), and a short Uber ride to both the airport and to Old San Juan. (I would recommend using Uber for anywhere in the city that is too far to walk - it's cheaper than renting a car -- and you don't have to deal with the hassle of driving on sometimes crowded or confusing streets, waste time looking for parking, and then worry about the safety of the car. We did rent a car for the day we drove to El Yunque National Park - just 35 minutes from Casa Isabel.) There were lots of good restaurants within a couple of blocks of Casa Isabel. Our room was really comfortable, included beach towels and bottled water, and even had a little kitchenette in case we had chosen to cook. Breakfast was great - lots of fresh fruit, eggs, etc., plus really, really good coffee. Margie, the owner, was very accommodating, helpful, and responsive. And she had a big stash of beach chairs, sunscreen, etc., for us guests to use at the beach. And there were some nice common areas for the guests to use, including little sitting rooms, a porch, an outdoor shower, etc. I was really happy we stayed here.
