Location is great and staff are all exceptional. Breakfasts poolside were hearty and very tasty - fresh fruit, strawberry yogurt, eggs, bacon, toast and jam, gallo pinto, juice, and Roberto ensuring that our coffee cups were always full. We enjoyed afternoons in the large pool watching the birds and enjoying "miguelitos" crafted by Carlos - highly recommended - muchas gracias, Carlos. Dinners were excellent and we loved the ayote soup, the caprese salad, and the steaks in mushroom sauce. Housekeeping was top notch and a special mention to manager Luigi for his excellent assistance at check in and throughout our entire stay. 5 stars! We can't wait to return with friends and family.

Fantastic!!! This place is a hidden gem - super quiet, peaceful and tranquil surrounded by nature. Rooms are very private and have huge balconies overlooking the jungle. We saw and heard monkeys, iguanas, coatis, and many birds. The rooms are simple but nice and the open air bathrooms are awesome. Best of all the restaurant is consistently exceptional with some of the best food we enjoyed on our entire trip. The staff is friendly, accommodating and generous- mychas gracias to Jorges, Roberto, Carlos and the awesome kitchen staff!! We highly recommend this hotel, particularly for those who enjoy nature, quiet and privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful infinity pool all to ourselves for two days! And we got to watch baby turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean. ❤️❤️❤️

We had a really great stay here. The setting is beautiful, with lush greenery all around and a view of the Pacific ocean. The pool is perfectly sized, and the general area around it is peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the restaurant does excellent food, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are also incredibly helpful and warm, and nothing is too much trouble. We had issues with our hire car and Jorge sorted it all out for us, we didn't have to lift a finger! This is a very good hotel, and I would certainly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to explore the Pacific coast.

The location is secluded, safe, secure, quiet and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed watching the monkeys & the full moon while sitting on our deck of our room. The staff was very helpful in suggesting & arranging things to do. They treated us like family, in a good way 🤣 The breakfast was fantastic as were the dinners. Their chef & wait staff were wonderful. It’s hard to get around without a car at this location. We were glad we rented one. Good location for two to four nights. Room details: - [ ] The bed was comfortable enough, however their pillows are a bit flat. - [ ] A/C worked great. - [ ] Great water pressure & temperature in the shower. - [ ] Shampoo is supplied, bring your own hair conditioner. - [ ] Bar soap is supplied. I didn’t find it lathered very well. I’d suggest that you bring your own bar soap or body shampoo if that is important to you. - [ ] There is a small fridge in the room. No bottle opener, however if you ask they will get you one. - [ ] There’s a futon that can be made into a bed. - [ ] No TV but there is Wi-Fi so you can connect your phone or laptop to watch what you want. We just had the most amazing 5 days in the jungle thanks to Rolf and the staff at Hotel Luna Azul. We have been to this area many times(7) and never ventured far from Nosara. This place is a hidden gem. The rooms,the pool, the common areas the bar and especially the restaurant are all Perfect. Rolf is on every detail to make a very relaxing and memorable stay. Highly recommend. It’s a short drive to several beaches and local restaurants. I do recommend dinner at the Hotel. Best steak I’ve had in Costa Rica.

Absolutely beautiful - perfect! Loved everything about it!!! What a wonderful place and staff! Do not hesitate to stay here!!! The grounds were beautiful, the pool, restaurant and bar area beautiful! The individual cabinas were beautiful and very clean! When we went to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast, there was our table, set and waiting for us. The food was delicious! Everything was perfect here!!!

What a beautiful lush setting for this cute hotel. Out of the way but worth it. The owner Rolf was lovely and took great care of us with helpful advice and arranging the turtle guide. Lots of birds and iguanas. Thank you for making our stay so amazing Rolf!

what a perfect spot to start our trip! So relaxing and beautiful… instantly submerged in what felt like being in a Disney movie with butterflies fluttering. Rolf was an excellent host, felt like visiting a local friend. He set us up to see the hatchlings. Will have to come back soon!

I stayed 2 days there with my kids and another family. Everything was perfect, the shower outside, the pool, the view, the wifi and AC. And omg the food! By far the best meals we had in Costa Rica! The owner was very nice to us and gave us great tips and arrange our tour for the turtle. We brought whole pineapple and papaya to the waiter and they cut it and gave it to our kids. The staff was nice and the place was clean. It's hard to get there, but once you are there, it's worth it and you instantly relax. The property is very well taken care of, they maintain the garden very well. I will definitely go back if I ever come back to Costa Rica!
