Sadly I was not able to make our trip to San Miguel de Allende. I had booked a stay at Artesana Luxury Villas for 5 nights for Sep 2025. When I booked my credit card was charged a deposit (for half the stay). I cancelled well within the time for refund. Initially, the hotel claimed that my “credit card had not been charged for the deposit” but once I was able to show proof that it had they agreed to refund the money. It has been over one month now and it seems I am now being ghosted by the hotel. No returned funds. Very upsetting, quite dishonest. I have travelled all over the world and haven’t experienced this before. Take caution if booking.

The staff were warm and friendly and they even mailed a bathing suit back to me that I accidentally left at the hotel. I would suggest this place for business or personal vacation as it is luxurious, convenient and incredibly welcoming. Loved the breakfast too!

Best place in Mexico! We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! The town is majestic, the hotel was much more beautiful than the pictures. Plenty of things to do for the whole family. Everyone on staff was amazing! Again, can’t wait to go back! A++

This trip was just amazing! The town was so beautiful, the church looks very pretty, the art is pretty, and the locals and restaurants are great! The staff at Artesana is great, you will love them because they are so helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip.

Artesana was very welcoming! Everything was so beautiful and fresh. I love that the staff is very helpful and made fresh juice for guests everyday! Location is great and also very convenient to be able to use the Rosewood hotel amenities! Will definitely be back again.

I visited the weekend of Dia de Muertos which brings a lot of traffic and noise into the city. However, the private villas at Artesana are quiet, relaxing, and peaceful in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. The operators/owner of the villa were beyond accommodating, they were extremely pleasant, personable, down to earth, and engaging. I highly recommend staying here, in a smaller setting, versus being a number in a hotel. The amenities, service, location, and most of all, the hosts have inadvertently swayed me to return time and time again to their beautiful slice of heaven in the heart of the culturally rich city of San Miguel.

We had a wonderful time at Artesana during Holy Week. Our room on the top floor was large and luxurious. The common kitchen and patio are great. Best of all were the hosts, Billy and Karla, plus their staff; Adriana, Yesenia and Angelica. They have great attention to detail and are helpful in suggestions and reservations to make a visit to SMA a very nice experience. We felt that our five day stay was too short.
