We just returned from a one night stay in the Chana room. We had great excitement for staying at Meson Hidalgo. I had read numerous reviews singing its praises. I can tell you that I was very disappointed at this property. Pros: Location Staff- especially Dulce went out of her way to make us feel at home. Cons: The room is starting to show age. It was very poorly lit. Bathtub painted black and impossible to see ( with sides of tub high) No TV Breakfast: delivered in a basket was day old pastry and yogurt and juice Coffee: you made in the barely functioning nespresso.(we walked down the street to Starbucks after 2 failed attempts.) Needless to say we paid a high nightly fee( at a total cost of almost $400 usd) and were very disappointed in what I would call a guest house.

Perfect location near the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. Very comfortable and clean accommodations. We got the Su Hermana, the largest room when we booked last minute (same day). The room is above street level so lots of steps to get there. Nice outdoor patio on the street side. We checked in on a Tuesday and so the night was quiet. The following night was noiser and we heard loud music from surrounding establishments until midnight. There are two double doors which also serve as windows. The wooden doors provided good light control except that the skylights let light in as soon as the sun rises. Not a big deal for us because we wanted to be up early. Just an observation for those who want to sleep in on holiday. The bed is comfortable and the sheets soft.

Meson Hidalgo was more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. There was no amenities nor lounge area in the property other than your own room. If there was even just a tiny place to sit or have breakfast outside of room, that would have been better. Our room was as charming as shown in the picture, but quite old and smelled very musty which we were taken aback at first. Although, the bed was comfortable an the location was excellent - it was a good place to come back just to sleep. The staff is there only in the daytime and available via whatsupp rest of the time of the day when we need help.

Meson Hidalgo stands out for its impeccably appointed rooms and excellent service, particularly from Erica the house manager. The rooms were divine featuring soft beds and rich linens. The bathroom was large with plenty of hot! hot! water perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Every detail ensured comfort making our stay not just enjoyable but memorable. Be sure to pop into the perfumery on the bottom level. What extraordinary scents. Highly recommend for a luxurious, worry-free experience.

Gorgeous place—-our room looked like a spread from World of Interiors magazine. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast ( charmingly delivered in a picnic basket) contained the best croissants we’d ever eaten. The manager Erica was a gem. This place is right in the middle of town, but once you close the door, it’s quiet and calm. A truly magical place.

Everything you read about this hotel is true. It’s 100% amazing and we had a great time in the city and at the hotel (which is charming, elegant and surprising). One problem…there is a disco somewhere within one block of the location and the thumping of the music rolls on until well after 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. Partners then leave the hotel yelling after a night of fun. Good for them, but hell if you want to sleep before 2:30AM. Again, this is a fantastic hotel and really accessible to everything. However, we had a huge problem with noise.

El hotel tiene solo 3 habitaciones, están separadas una de la otra, la decoración de cada una de ellas es fenomenal. Estuvimos en la habitación Juana, super linda, tiene una hamaca con vista a una de tantas parroquias que San Miguel de Allende tiene. Roberto, quien es el encargado del hotel, nos brindó una atención inmejorable, La habitación super cómoda, limpia, acogedora, La reserva del hotel incluye desayuno, pero sabes... no te voy a contar.. te invito a Vivirlo, la manera en que te preparan el desayuno fue tan detallista, tan lindo tan bonito. que la verdad les califico con 10
